also, another good one, is solving linear simultaneous equations, using matrices

It's important to note for the quadratic 'speedy' method- the value you get are the actual x values, and therefore the negatives of the numbers you have in the factorised form

How dare you present this video to me before my maths GCSE exams! I will still undergo your bidding in hopes of achieving all of your flexes in ONE PAPER. That is INCLUDING getting full marks.

Amazing content! Can you post mat and step practice please

I was planning on doing some older MAT over half term. I have about 50 STEP videos to reupload also from the old channel which I'll do once admissions testing season is over

Would you receive full marks for using a completely unnecessarily complex method correctly? I did it in one of my mocks and I was told I wouldn't :/
@rtwodrew22 жыл бұрын
So in internal exams like mocks teachers can mark however they want. Lots will give 0 for any of this simply to try to dissuade you from trying any of it in a real exam (which is fair enough honestly, it's a bad idea). However if you did do it anyway in a real exam what happens is that the regular examiner would have to skip the question as the method is not on the mark scheme, and then it would be sent to the team of head examiners, where they sit down and mark all the dodgy questions that regular examiners couldn't mark. All of these methods, since they're legit, if just slightly unknown, would get full marks. As a compromise, in a job interview a few months back they gave me a maths paper to sit for 40 minutes (I felt slightly patronised by this) and so I answered every question normally for the first 10 minutes before then answering every question in a second, stupid way, for the remainder of the time.

do you have any speedrunning hacks like this for the tmua that speed up certain questions compared to traditional methods?
@DarthMakroth5 ай бұрын
also wondering if for tmua, it seems like some definitions are a bit odd like decreasing doesn't mean f'(x)0, several stuff like that

So in standard GCSE mathematics(Not further) by using any of these methods like intergrating, using tan rule, Heron’s formula or manipulating the quadratic formula I shouldn’t lose any marks as long as the answer is right and has sufficient working out?
