My initial thoughts of my recent experience with 5 MeO DMT.
This wasn't my first time with 5 MeO, I had previously done a Bufo Alvarius ceremony with Octavio Rettig, but this was my first time with 5 MeO made in a lab.

After doing 5-meo I went from a pretty staunch materialist to knowing that consciousness is fundamental to the universe and beyond. Just the most incredible experience you could never imagine.

It's not that I don't think NN-DMT has more to teach me.... however, 5-MEO (reinforced by your report) appeals to me on the level of pure consciousness expansion. I am less about the bells and whistles of the visual psychedelic rollercoaster ride. I am seeking an experience as close to pure Loving Awareness as I can get. Pure existence. Reality at the base level (or, I close to that as we are capable of experiencing). Your video was very compelling and enlightening. Thank you for sharing.

Great video! Definitely supports my theory that 5-meo reveals the ground of being/consciousness (Shiva) whereas n,n reveals the creative manifestation of being/consciousness (Shakti). Our shared being is so bloody incredible!! 😊

Experiencing something so vast and all encompassing and at the same time groundingly wholly personal feels like it is in me now, but also that a lifetime can be lived in gratitude exploring and integrating its implications into each day of being. It feels immediate and eternal at the same time.

Exactly. I found myself chuckling with your efforts to put words on the ineffable. The functional, temporal "me" is fabricated of words that delimit overwhelming being. We seem to be embodying-selfing-worlding, sharing stories that interpret form-emptiness, fabricating time and experience. The feeling tone of 5MeO DMT is simply ...Magnificent! Ever since "my" toad experience, I am not much interested in capturing It in words.

Love the seriousness in your eyes. The sheer shock. Just pure awareness expanding in all directions. A glimpse of The Self. At one moment it felt like I was the moment before the big bang bursted into creation. The primordial Self. The One who dreams the dream. No beyondnesness beyond this. It was IT. The absolute self. The unchanging. The complete Self. The always was, is, will be in perfect complete state. I couldn't ever imagine being able to experience such a state while being alive. Not even in a thousand deaths. Through a thousand lifetimes of intense samadhi. Mann this is something else. Wtf 5meo

I really appreciate your simplistic explanation and ability to interpret your experience in a way that maintains objectivity. I see so many people in the psychedelic community that bring so much personal interpretation to their experiences that it makes them sound crazy to me. I’ve done 5-Meo many times and I understand the indescribable beauty of the experience. But I leave it at that, and don’t make up stories about reality that can’t be proven.

My first experience with 5 MeO DMT was at age 33, and I had already spent my adult life to that point enthusiastically expanding my consciousness with psychedelics. It was set break during a Phil and Friends gig in NY, summer 2001. To say this substance changed my life is a understatement. Cheers!

@@AdeptusPsychonautica A compromise you might enjoy trying on for size is improvising like you did in this video, and then just editing out any bits that you feel are irrelevant, repetitive, or that takes you a second to formulate in a way that satisfies you. Editing later gives you a kind of fearless psychological freedom to be vulnerable. That being said, I thought you were perfectly articulate in this video so perhaps you are too self critical! 😁 Keep up the great work mate 💗

That was a phenomenal description. I both thank you and admire your capacity to put into words the un-nameable. Your slant away from the mere scientific and explore the "poetic" side is alive, fresh, made up of stunning observations that I can totally relate to. Poetry is a definitively apropriate tool for pointing at the moon. I hung on every word, as you so gracefully wove your way through the "orgasm of consciousness." I'm the same as you. 5MEO didn't really work for me and I also became disillusioned from most people who talk about Non-duality. I love Rob though because he is different and doesn't take his subjective experience literally and make claims he has figured out all of the secrets to the nature of conciousness and the universe; This is the trap I feel alot of people who take large amounts of Psychedelics and Non dual teachers and their followers fall into. Taking their subject experience as the be all and end all truth and then trying to make objective claims about the nature of mind and reality.
@SweetNonExistence
@SweetNonExistence 3 жыл бұрын
@@FootyFrenzyHD Well said! The 5-MEO gurus come across with so much certainty (which is why people listen to them) but also value judgement: as if it's your fault for "not letting go enough" or something. It's far more complicated than that, e.g., we all have different personality types, childhood imprinting, brain structures to name just a few. This nondual-psychedelic-shitshow needs to keep getting called out because it's dangerous. 5-MEO out of all the psychedelics is the one I felt could really do some damage.
@johncitizen8828

Bill ABSOLUTELY! So much of the psychedelic experience is so incredibly mysterious and really beyond comprehension that it innately defies description or explanation. I often feel that those who try to impose concrete, absolute meanings on the experience are stretching. Perhaps it is just human nature to want to make sense of the unknowable. If anything, emerging from a powerful experience has left me in sheer wonder of how much I don’t know, and may never know. It’s humbling.

@@SweetNonExistence I very much enjoyed this intelligent comment! I wonder that if a guru is very sure, how much of it is explained by him/her truly knowing and how much by his subjective experience? What is the balance between subjective interpretation and objective experience? If we completely disregard interpretation, then we cannot understand anything. At minimum, we would be interpreting that we just are. That sounds like a lesson in the experience of itself? Reality is the intersection of experience and interpretation

I've been in the same space. You did a great job explaining it. It's not easy explaining it haha. One idea i took away was how different it is to "become" that experience, which is so different than being a human experience. For me i felt like the geometry would change and form around my emotion or intent. Which also felt like travel but not travel through space but through infinite consciousness.

Turiya In Hindu philosophy, turiya (Sanskrit: तुरीय, meaning "the fourth"), also referred to as chaturiya or chaturtha, is the true self (atman) beyond the three common states of consciousness (waking, dreaming, and dreamless deep sleep). It is postulated in several Upanishads and explicated in Gaudapada's Mandukya Karika.

It was like this intense, vibration came from below, through my feet and up my body and then this explosion as I fell back into oblivion, my body melting away like some cosmic black goo was dripping off of me. Is this typical? I know its different for different people but the intensity of this was just off the charts. Great video by the way! Nice video. Saw your question about who to interview Adam from psychedsubstance or Leo gura. Personally I’d love to see you talk with Leo about this exact subject matter. Would be a top video!

The Reason T-shirt? I’ve had it a while so I don’t remember exactly, but if you google “propellerhead Reason t-shirt” then you will find something similar.

I read the trip report, but didn’t really say that I took it. He saw sparkles of light of amazing unearthly colors, and it was all like the energy of life. Or maybe it’s that on the 5th meo dmt you experience a transcendental white color?🙄 and it is so transcendental that it causes an orgasm of consciousness as a feeling of infinite purity, infinite ideality without flaws, like true white?🙄This is absolutely fantastic

I know what you mean, but isn't the real enemy our lack of skill in using our thoughts? If we could only use our minds wisely, thought would be our greatest ally.

Was this report made directly after your experience? It is my understanding that the memory fades quickly with DMT trips. I haven't tried it yet but plan to, quite soon. Thanks!
@AdeptusPsychonautica
@AdeptusPsychonautica 3 жыл бұрын
It was made about a week after the actual experience. DMT trips are usually quite slippery in terms of being able to remember them, but 5MEO is a bit different in that regard. There is less visionary chaos so its more of a personal experience.
