It goes without saying, but remarkable job man. Love this build and love that you just made it work to get it on the road and enjoy it. Too many people let projects and money rot because they are worried about getting it perfect the first time.

Very nice, don’t apologize for using rustoleum the only reason it’s cheap is because they make millions of gallons of it. I use it on everything and it outperforms most of the high dollar frame coatings

Man this is awsome!! I absolutely love the truck! You did a killer job on it! I want to do something similar but with a 2010 blue bird bus that I have 6.7l isb with a 5 speed allison and i have a 1970 ford f500 that was my grandfather's that he bought new. I want to put an old u haul box behind the cab that has the over cab section onit would be similar to Cory's tool truck build that he has to use as a totter to pull my camper and haul my other trailers during the summer months. Your build is great inspiration for me! I havent started on my build i still need to convince my wife which thats not going well lol.

Nice job on the barn and the build of the International, that's one of my favourite body styles, but the truck is what I call a real hot rod, hand built and as they say its good enough for who it's for, if you love it, who cares what anyone else thinks, but cracking job.

Nice job. Weighing doing my own Loadstar build, but on a GM (Silverado/Sierra C3500) chassis (I'ma GM guy), so I'm looking for tips/inspiration/convincing I can do it. I did my own ground up build on my '83 square body (LS swap, lowered, brakes, everything is modern except frame), so this would be a next level build for me. I weld a little, rebuild engines, etc (everything but A/C and transmissions). Might take me a year or so, but I'm drooling to have one of these.

? Did you have to lower the dodge chassis to get that ride height?

I didn’t do anything to the dodge suspension but I noticed the back leafs had drop shackles that were on it when I got it so idk if the front springs were different as well or not

I drove one of those in the day with a Detroit 2 stroke with a 2 speed axle, they did not turn for shit old steering had no turning radius at all manual steering and a big bench seat about 3 ft thick very no frills all metal dash and cab. And that 2 stoke rings through that metal cab your ears would ring at the end of the day, that truck worked you, you didn't work it.

No one short of Jesus Christ himself knew where or what they could do. I was a kid in the fifties handing tools to dad in the shop and just grew up with it. I think your loaded with talent and did subscribe because of it. I myself am in very poor health and no longer get to play in a shop. I live in alaska where lots of restrictions just don't happen here. Since your married, get that girl in the shop and let her learn with you as a family that plays together stays together. Most girls finally learn to bait their own hooks when you take them fishing. I watch a channel called adventures made from scratch that just makes me cringe when he as a owner of a junk yard cuts up these fine old rigs... just for wall art. Trucks are the next big thing to build as you must follow some channels yourself. Just cutting the nose off of a truck for wall art seems such a waste for rigs that can be built well like your own rig. He is in western kansas and so gets some really nice rigs, does sell parts but he just doesn't get the meaning of saving rigs.... No one can save them all yet they don't make these anymore either. I tended to stay away from computers but anyone can change their way of doing stuff. Just do it your way and haters be darned.

The condoms instead of real tires is what kills the whole Truck. Truck is supposed to be a truck not a ghetto flat.
