Thanks for this! After owning an Octapad almost from inception (and been vaguely aware of its editing and live loop/phrase powers) I'm just now starting to dive in a little deeper. Your videos are very helpful. I am considering your kits upgrade once I've figured out how to save my few custom kits and back up my system etc... Cheers!

Nice Alex very awaited this expansion for the great Octapad great work and I know how much work it is to do them , I just bought the expansion in a few weeks when I play them all, I will post again to give you my comments but with the previous kits that you send me to test all there were great , hope you sell a lot, for the Octapad fans this is fantastic there is no one doing kits for the Octapad , all the best mate

@@limitlessdrums2680 Hi Alex yes it was very easy and fast to uplodad all the kits at once I made a copy of the previous ones and then I installed yours , I try them all for a few moments each and there are great very good job , even the drums and percusion kits that I don't use because I play drums are very nice to play also the programing of the pedals in case someone has the octapad with 2 pedals is great it gives you more sounds and the music is more rich in sounds , for the 99 there are around 20 that are very good , it was long time that I didn't play the octapad I bought a keyboard so I am learning that so it was fun to play it again , it revives the Octapad witch is an instrument that I love but is very hard to make good kits , all the best

hi, amazing work. i wanted to implement the octapad in my sest. like jolie and assia. they have something different tough i am not sure what. probalby a ableton rack with their sounds. the pad one was going with kick and hats at the same time. could you give a hand on this? how can i connect the midi and my sounds with not too much lag?

Are these different samples, or just the same samples edited differently/ better?

Hi, you cannot add new samples to the Octapad but you can dive deep into the editing process to transform the sounds.

No, sadly not. If they could it would be a massive upgrade. Roland are so lazy, they haven't improved the Octapad in a decade

Hey, I use the Roland PDS-20 Percussion Pad stand. I believe there are cheaper alternatives, just make sure it has the right mounting plate.

1 more question sir. If I use another brand of kick tower and hi hat controller for spd30, it will fit? Or only roland products can fit for spd30? Thanks a lot😊

For the kick drum you can use any electric drum that has a trigger. Any other kick drum or even a drum pad will work. For the hihat controller, you will need to look up Roland's official compatibility list as the open/close feature makes it unique. Good luck!

fwiw - I have had success using an Alesis kick pad and drum and cymbal pads as external triggers (sensitivity adjustments required). Sadly, the Alesis HiHat controller doesn't work. However, Roland FD8s can be found in the used market at very reasonable prices (i.e. $60 CAD). (BTW with older FD8s, sometimes the internal rubber trigger hardens with age and ruins the sensitivity - but a replacement part is available and easily installed - see youtube videos for this step by step process.) ✌🏼
