If I may, once a video could you have your son explain what/how he is doing it, and how much he is enjoying it? Kids seem to be able to explain it better to each other than we can. A special day for both of you! I remember my first dove and it was with a 410 single shot as well. Back in the 60s we didn't wear hearing protection. I was an adult before i realized my dad was pretty deaf and i had developed tinnitus. Protect those ears once your son starts hunting in the duck blind with those 12 gauges near by blazing away. Thanks for the video Bob!

Nice I don't even how long I have hold a 410 but great video with the son keep it up can't wait til kansas waterfowl open. I am not a father but me as a uncle who watch and raise up my wife nephew and niece I have taught her nephew how to hunt and fish at age 9 or 10 he was my hunting buddy as uncle and nephew but sadly he have pass last year and going back to spots it was just me, him and my dog it really hurts I almost quit duck hunting but I got the thinking he still want me to go out even though he won't be around anymore so by watching this video got me thinking of my nephew great video.

I am conflicted to post. I totally applaud Dad for spending time with his son. I do with my grandson. I was very disapointed in the gun safty. Having a young person sitting with a cocked gun is really not good. At one point he had the muzzle of the gun sticking in the dirt. I bought that exact gun for my 10 year old grandson and would never let him sit with it cocked. Just my opionion.

It's awesome that you're treating your son the way you grow up Bobby I'm doing the same thing with my kids but my kids are like me shooting 32-gauge 16-gauge 28-gauge 24-gauge 20-gauge and 12 gauge in first son of noxious reason my 13-year-old claims he likes my 10-gauge 3.5 magnum to be honest I think he's crazy sometimes for shooting that he keeps going with that I'm going to let him shoot my mag 4 gauge sxs cuz if he's got a square up against my very first gun that I ever owned he might as well square up to the biggest gun that I own
