My dad got me into skiing, and the one thing that kept me from quitting and helped me push forward and become a better skier was my dads encouragement and pride in my abilities. He ALWAYS hyped me up, and honestly he still does even though I’m a grown adult lol. Like I’ll duck into some glades and he’ll sit there cheering me on and it’s what pushes me through a lot of the time. Keep doing what your doing, I have no doubt that your daughter absolutely adores you.

When I was skiing at 8 we still had lace-up boots and bear-trap cable bindings which would allow your heal to lift and release unexpectedly. No one would have even considered letting me do this run. Modern equipment makes it possible, but proper instruction and encouragement makes it happen. Great job dad! But don’t tell her about squirrel suits and parachutes.

Quite jealous & amazed at how little kids make feel even more guilty of not trying again 😂🤣😂🏆 Mind you, I was raised in Lubbock TX. Only hills we had were manmade hwy overpasses 😂🤣🤷🏼♀️

If you lived in JH and your kid liked to ski it wouldn’t matter if you’d put them in a dangerous situation or not they would go ski it anyway. Better to be there teaching them the right way to do it. Have a great day!
@Janae2000 Жыл бұрын
? It’s only dangerous if the child is without guidance or training or supervision. You can’t just push a kid off corbets they obviously started their child really young and felt safe enough to let her try it. As a Jackson local this is pretty common.

@@Janae2000 ya.... ok. i understand what you are implying. but.... ive been boarding w my daughter dozens of times... i have had very close calls w her on blue runs... all im saying is that it just takes a couple seconds for something awful to happen. im an experienced snowboarder and i myself have had bad accidents on things i figured were simple. if it can happen to me at 42 then it can happen to her at 9. still wanna go back n forth?
