It can't be denied that when his collection is shown all together, it's the He-Man sets that first grab your attention.

Great stuff, it's very nostalgic for me seeing all those cartoons that I grew up with. How lucky for your daughter who was born years after the fact but still be exposed to some of the best eras of western animation, it really filled me with glee when you said your daughter was really into those shows. I just hope one day my kids will feel the same.

I just bought a Warner Brothers DVD collection box. It has an amazing amount of 72 discs I think you would've enjoyed it. It got all the looney tunes golden collection including a bunch of movies that are made (supported) by warner brothers. Lots of animated goods.

Any big box VHS sets as well? Gotta love the artwork on those!!!! The artwork of the DVD's/VHS/Blu Ray are the reason to watch collection videos for. :D

I need to be your friend! I LOOOOOOVE your 80's cartoon collection! I'm an 80's kid til' the grave! I have a good amount of 80's cartoons on dvd, but nowhere near yours man.....ur the KING man! ;-)

A few major cartoon names for this company to release were the Danger Mouse/Count Duckula, Thomas The Tank Engine, Thundercats and many more on VHS in the 80s.
@kevinmcqueary7395 Жыл бұрын
130 Thundercats episodes? cool. looks like they and He-Man have that one thing in common.
@wrestletube112 жыл бұрын
I guess The Video Collection (UK) and Strand Home Video (US) has now changed it's name to VCI and uses that name for both regions now? That company was a huge distributer of these 80s and 90s Live Action TV & Animated TV Shows back in the days of pre recorded VHS.
@David31584212 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a shame that Shout Factory wasen't able to distribute the last quarter of the series, I'm sorry I didn't collect the sets sooner, but these things happen. I'll still pick up the Mill Creek sets though and I'll do the same with Jayce and Carmen Sandiego as I've just picked up the Shout sets of those shows too. :D

I like your collection, especially the He-Man collection. Do you know when Filmation might release Tarzan:Lord of the Jungle? It was a late 70s cartoon. My dad and I would wake up and watch it early on Saturday mornings. lol.

@zaranyzerak8 жыл бұрын
Yep, I have the 3 volumes they put out. Annoying no one has stepped up to finish it. The only complete DVD release that was ever done was a Region Australian release, spread across about 16 single disc volumes. Shout did the first 39 of the 64 episodes of the series.

I agree about the recent good reboots(though My Little Pony isn't really my thing) I'm just getting into Transformers Prime now and I love it. Not crazy about Bumblebee being like R2-D2 but I'm over it :-) The only reboot I've been lukewarm about is Voltron Force.

I collect complete 80's cartoons series on DVD or blu ray and to this day the hardest I have found to get is those damn Smurfs. To this day they have not released a COMPLETE series. Every set they have released is missing episodes.
@zaranyzerak2 жыл бұрын
Right?? It also drives me nuts that we've never had a proper release of Smurfs. You would think with all the recent movies, they would JUMP at the chance to cash in with some easy releases of the original cartoon. It just baffles me.

That would be Turbo Kid, no DVD releases as of yet. Ring Raiders and Bionic Six haven't been released on DVD, no idea what the hold up is (especially for the latter).

wow how cool you answerd all my question will sub ! most youtubers wont talk back ! cops the cartoon is also not releades complete or dit they ?
@zaranyzerak8 жыл бұрын
Hehehe, no problem! And thanks! :) I guess I'm just one of those weirdos who actually likes to *gasp* TALK to people! ;) Shout Factory didn't complete C.O.P.S. with their releases (they got up to about episode 43), but Mill Creek's set is complete, with all 65 episodes across the two volumes. I'm a freak for that show, so I got the two Shout Factory volumes to have the first 43 episodes in better quality (Shout uses a higher bitrate and puts slightly fewer episodes per disc), and the Mill Creek sets to have the rest and just generally to support their efforts (the Mill Creek sets are also super cheap).

@David31584212 жыл бұрын
It's tired and your late, that would explain why you messed up the info on The Raccoons sets in the last video. :D Ah of course you're a goth, you're bound to like the darkness within Don Bluth movies (I think it' pronounced Blue not Blueth but I'm not sure, people may use both?). Sherlock Hound is a Japanese/Italian co-production. It would have been interesting to see Bravestarr make a reference to He-Man as it was he who was supposed to have inspired Bravestarr to become a lawman. ;)

Its the ultimate Ending to a Awesome but very dangerous Decade.I think the 1980's was the last great era of Cartoons because of creative writers,artists,and original concepts.When the 1990's came,it was terrible,and only ANIME ruled that decade the most during that time,although you still had some strong ones like X-MEN,and BATMAN:the animated series,it was pretty much dead after.

Yep, I remember for a long time Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was ONLY available complete in a set from France. Which sadly only had French audio, so importing wasn't really an option... Then Mill Creek stepped up and finished it over here.

smart movie waiting on sonic its one of those more then on volume bs dude. Were they make you by more then one volume to get them all like pokemon. Which all of the season you could get in a single volume except the diamond and pearl season because they stalled it out to dam long in us and japan. Go ranger super senti season 1 was balance out better it was 86 episodes. The diamond and pearl saga was 190. WTF

So having one title from a different era since it doesn't really fit in with any other category somehow negates the 99% of other titles that were from the 80's?
