Clint you can't be soft through life all the time. Sometimes you have to be hard and tell the kids to buzz off and don't talk to them to encourage them to harass you. Ask a Pakhtun adult to tell them to get lost and they will help. In Pakistan, no one disciplines their kids in poor areas. Uneducated parents lead to misbehaved kids. Its the same in any slum. Problem is the whole country is one large slum.

I don't think it has anything to do with soft or hard. Most of the people I know would go crazy just walking down the street in Peshawar. They are children that don't speak English it didn't matter what I said to them because they wouldn't understand. I was happy to take photos with them and I think they were excited at the attention I gave them. I've experienced the same touchy, overexcited treatment with kids all over South Asia and in the Middle East. I don't think the entire country is one large slum. Regardless of the financial situation Pakistan is a beautiful country with incredible people and diverse cultures. Thanks for watching

Its not all slum , you probably have not seen cities like Islamabad its better than most western cities I have visited .

I just feel US should start spending some money on it's citizens. Like get rid of the homelessness, the collapsed health care..the crumbling infrastructure..and the shoddy education system( if we ever get out of the gender issue).. All the aid US gives to Pakistan is to keep the pockets of the ruling class full so they can be run like puppets by the establishment of the US..

(and how n in which attire and looks ) .... you must also understand that a sizable people of the country you visited have different sexual orientations (socially) than other normal cultures-- because of several orthodox reasons ... i hope u understand and be cautious next time ... I was simply stating that I had similar experiences in these neighboring countries. The positives have always outweighed the negatives and it's not uncommon for a traveler to have a rough day and receive unwanted in a foreign country. As you noticed even on my worst day in Pakistan I still had a lot of great experiences and met some really great people. Thanks for watching
