Hi Joey, not sure if that boat will ever boat again, but the proper way to address the boat by name, and makes it sound so much more regal, too.... Call it the MV Rust-O-Leum. Merchant Vessel Rust-O-Leum. Of course, if you are retired and no longer sail the MV Rust-O-Leum for pay, then MV stands for Motor Vessel.

Good morning from Cape Cod ⛵ it was nice to get to walk around with you and learn about equipment, and to meet the upcoming project Jack. Oh and it was nice to see the photo of Gomez from one of your followers. I'm beginning to think I need a skid steer, I'm going to start pricing them out, well used ones of course 😉 keep on bringing the fine content Joey ✌️🇺🇲🇨🇦

Hi King, you sure made short work out of organizing the Gomez parts. And great job keeping the Cat D8 parts. Smart people hang onto old equipment & parts for "someday." Older things were really built strong, not like today's planned obsolescence. Ex: PLASTIC CARBURETORS. I know you probably don't mow grass, but today many lawnmowers are built with plastic carburetors! Imagine that, and you can't even have plastic bags. OK Fine Business King of Obsolete. Thanks for posting. ben/ michigan

With the steering on Gomez, I gather its power assisted and something in the box rotates or pushes a control valve to cause the hydraulic cylinder to render assistance? The single ‘follower’ in the hourglass helix, under normal 100% functionality might not expect much load on it - but if anyone tried to use the steering box unpowered, then it could be a big strain on it? Would that be how it is? Always curious, always learning. Love the old machines. Thanks

Among the most prominent headlines all up and down the west coast today was a short clip of two suspected arsonists caught on camera in B.C. One compounded his mistakes by catching himself on fire. They weren’t kids. The face of the one on fire was pretty clear. Evidently RCMP are on the case. The one on fire is probably going to need a doc in quick time, so they shouldn’t be hard to find. Moving on to a more pleasant topic, the birch trees in the “Staff’s” yard look nice. There are some other trees in that group. What are they? Are they alders? Gomez is coming along nicely. Jack looks to be another fine learning experience. Thanks for the videos. Take care.
