It is surprising that as a veteran of cooking turkeys Jonathan would be caught - usually it is only newbies that forget to fully defrost a frozen turkey otherwise it could take half a day to cook in an oven. @@LegendsofPodcasting

I love the actor who’s voicing Brainiac. But it’s kind of a shame because I feel the guy could’ve also done great playing the villain in live-action as well (He was Cayden James in Arrow, Joker in Dark Knight Returns, & starring as the main villain in the underrated show Evil) Also, if you put on captions, it will translate all of Jor-El’s dialogue

Though when Pa Kent dies is a big moment for Clark’s story and realising he can’t save everyone. I do like it when they are both around to guild him

Very minor nitpick, but you forgot to capitalise the title’s last word to “Fathers”. ;-) I’m very impressed by this season overall; yeah it’s not quite the story we know (no three-way love triangle with Lois/Supes/Clark or much secret identity), but it’s very true to the spirit of the character and his supporting cast, and setting too… Speaking of which, you brought up “The Death of Superman” and it reminds me of how the only “adaptation” of it that I ever much loved is the DCAU “Justice League” two-parter: “Hereafter”. And it wasn’t even really an adaptation of that story but it did everything TDoS did… *better*. Did you guys ever think that the ship growing larger (according to Ma and Pa Kent it was small when he first landed) was foreshadowing the Fortress of Solitude before this episode? I certainly did… Not that we can’t get it later or that I think we necessarily *need* the fortress, it’s just the conclusion I landed at and stuck to most of the season. I guess we needed something not as predictable than General Lane’s identity… Speaking of which, don’t remember if I said it last vid but… you know Waller referring to a woman that Superman apparently reminded Sam of (which seems to be where his doubts set in)? I reckon it’s his wife she meant there… which means that Lois and her father have similar tastes In romantic partners. This set me down a rabbit hole of thoughts at how much Sam as a young man (and father) was like Lois in personality before the trauma of Zero Day changed him; furthermore, the alternative versions of Lois we saw determine that if she gave in to fear and paranoia she could have ended up much the same…

Well...I didn't expect this one to solve everything about my issues with the series, but let's say: it was not such a good finale. I mean: it was not bad either. The characters remain kind of consistent. We are closer to better understand the whole scenario now (almost sure Braniac is gonna be a thing if there will be a second season) But in the end, everything was predictable and bleak. They really tried to make it emotional, but it doesn't elevate that much in this particular aspect. Anyway: the series hold the ground decently. I can give it a second chance. We'll see...
