I think the reason why what they did with Mr Mxyzptlk bugs me in particular is because it seems clear that the people making the show want it to be very anime-esque, and then they take the most magical villain and just make him another inventor instead of letting him use his magic. Like in one of your previous videos you were talking about how Superman’s big moment of getting his suit was undercut by the sailor moon reference. Superman could’ve had his emotional suit moment and then they could’ve had their magical girl reference in the episode with the literal chaotic magic man. When ether it would be good or not would depend on the episode context, but I feel like it has a higher chance of making more sense tonally. Also I wouldn’t have minded him being a different species or looking more alien, but I wish they would have taken more inspiration from fae and folklore for his design instead of.. anime genie I guess?

1:20:45 the classic piece of advice for this sort of writing is "therefor, but." The idea is that, when describing the events of the story, it should never be "Superman is looking for the general. And then he gets distracted by a little girl who needs help. And then he overhears a clue on the TV." It should be more like "Superman wants to find the general, THEREFOR he flies over the city using his super hearing, BUT there is too much noise for him to focus on any one thing, THEREFOR he changes tactics, focusing on louder more easily identifiable sounds that might relate to whoever the general is looking for like maybe police sirens, BUT he hears an unrelated distress call and gets sidetracked, THEREFOR he is forced to change tactics again by focusing on his skills as a reporter to find the general." That is the difference between good writing and bad writing. Good writing is "therefor but," things happen due to a chain of cause and effect and there are unexpected twists along the way. Bad wring is just a list of "and then and then and then."

@nighthawk74858 ай бұрын
Great video as always. On Mxyzptlk: I'm guessing they made his abilities nebulously tech-based to more closely fit with the mystery box they've been setting up regarding Kryptonian tech and why all of these events are happening now, even independently from Superman appearing on the scene. That said, doing that to arguably Superman's most iconic magic-based villain is a tragedy. They've removed the core of what made Mr. Mxyzptlk interesting and replaced it with nothing. It is like they used him just to check a box that they used him. It is amazing to me how a show that does a good job of understanding the Clark/Superman character (good enough that they can come up with actually interesting twists on the Superman story i.e. Clark not knowing about Krypton or understanding Kryptonian) misses the mark so hard on just about every other character. On the League of Lois' (here after known as "the LoL") and the concept of infinity: Since this show seems to have adopted the Infinite multiverse, the LoL makes absolutely zero sense. Ignoring for a second how nebulous the goals of the LoL are, by definition the LoL cannot protect the multiverse. Every decision any member of the LoL would split off a universe where that decision was made, not-made, or made differently. So simultaneously, by their decisions alone, the amount of the multiverse they can "protect" is ever-growing and the amount of the multiverse the can never "protect" is also ever-growing. By definition, the LoL simultaneously succeeds and fails at their objectives, and their existence is possibly futile. In a show that wanted to actually grapple with these concepts, there is great potential for a well-written, nuanced story exploring the philosophical concepts evoked by an infinite multiverse. But that isn't this show. Here, they decided to throw in the concept of "infinity" without concern for how that necessarily has to effect the world building, possibly because everyone else in "nerd culture"' is doing it to similar results. On Lois Lane and the Freedom of the Press: All I'll say here is that a how to handle "disinformation" is a very complex topic with the very definition of "disinformation" being hotly debated. There are some schools of thought which suggests that journalistic enterprises should censor "disinformation" because not doing so causes societal harm. I don't believe that this is a concept that this show is at all concerned about tackling. I'm just skimming the surface of this debate to highlight that this is a topic the writers may have been subconsciously aware of when writing this show. On the romance of Lois and Clark: This continues to frustrate me, as it is clear that the Lois/Clark relationship is fundamentally damaged due to the writers' (possibly willful) ignorance of the damage they have done to Lois' character. If the writers were to acknowledge the damage they had done to the Lois' character, and were to treat them as character flaws for Lois to overcome, there would be the potential for an interesting romantic subplot between a Lois who loves Clark and makes a huge effort to overcome her own character flaws and Clark who loves Lois in spite of her character flaws. There's potential there, but the writers' blindness to what they have written leaves us with an utterly broken mess. On the General: I haven't actually watched this show, and my main exposure to it has been your videos. That said, am I the only one who is half-expecting a plot twist where the General is Lois' dad or something? I vaguely recall that Lois' father in some DC media has been a military general of some sort in the past, and this is the kind of twist I have come to expect of the show. It would fit well with the show's continual focus on Lois' as the writers' favorite. Part 3 was an excellent video and I eagerly await Part 4.

Even from a recap, I have never before have had such an urge to slowly lay my head down face first onto my kitchen table just by hearing that episode's plot... I'm on the same boat in terms of Mr. M's design, it really REALLY sours the character. This might not be the most kind of observations, but in a moment of rage I would almost lash out at the show's art style which I have thought to be fine and dandy up to this point. Seeing this character, now I genuinely think they don't know how to draw different types of people beyond "quick, look diverse for the camera!" rather than a genuine honing of skill to naturally draw an array of people. Or rather, in short: Yeah it may have been anime references brain rot, or it may be them not knowing how to draw older people beyond copy-paste same winkles syndrome and grey hairs. Considering the fact we see them trying to draw Lois differently 3 times, there is something really awkward with how they executed it. Not to mention the previous video's point of millennial voice actor casting and dialogue sounding. And also, come on, I've seen anime with their own version of older man gremlin characters, no excuses for this baby faced transformation! You telling me Clark wouldn't have been more willing to help if he thought this being was a (seemingly) timid, weak, old timer? That's a peak ideal subversion plot for this scenario and future ones! This grandpa is being chased down by a multiverse level threat tracker association? Why? Oh, because plot twist, this seemingly docile "good guy" can actually end universes if he just decides he wants to. Hmm... Now that sounds familiar to something, some kind of information Lois finds out in this same episode. Something that justifiably reminds her of a certain someone. Hmm... Now I just can't quite put my finger on it... Self own that I'm just bitter, I love older actors and characters in media, so that really got on my nerves, lol. Also- Huzzah! I think that the general public doesn’t truly grasp the scope of infinity. Unless you are working with it in math or some other technical field, most people don’t have a chance to familiarize themselves with the concept. In an effort to ground it, many people conceptualize the concept by imagining it as a number so big you can’t count it. However, this completely misses the point and leads to the confused terminology you saw in the show. As you said, infinity is NOT a number. It cannot be categorized as such because none of the rules we traditionally associate with numbers apply anymore. It is simply… infinity. Well stated.

That being said, I still do like the show on the fact that outside the doki's and the constant push for any anime references, the fact that they portray Superman in a way where he has to constantly try force his powers back and that by the end of the day, he just wants to be like everyone else around him. I know that Hollywood likes doing the Superman tragedy being the death of Jonathan Kent, but Superman's true tragedy is him being the only Kryptonian amongst all the humans where in order for him to get around them as if he were trying to hold a beaker between two sledgehammers. I do hate the rules they rewrote for Mxyzptlk with him being tech based but the way he's being acted out is too much fun. I will say that the bit where you had pointed out him not being able to portal in that location, I did want to point out that the Mxy and Superman are outside the doorway to the room with the portal dampeners, however I offer the counterpoint to my little smartass comment in that, since we don't know how the technology is unknown to the audience and probably the writers as well, the dampeners could be seeping into the hallway and could prevent the portals. Remember when superhero movies only had one or 2 villains? It was already difficult to have 2 backstories and enough time to cram it on a 60-ish minute film and still have a good flow, define motivations and create a nicely packaged overarching plot that pit them against each other. It was almost ridiculous to think two separate superheroes would join in order to beat a common foe, due to the limitations from back then. Now everything has to be a Marvel vs Capcom kind of thing, where god be damned if we have a good backstory or satisfying conclusion to it and not a stupid sequel tie-in. This could easily continued to be an animated Smallville kind of thing, where smaller things happen, but still are significant. Instead, we are going the predictable "grander than life" plot that has infested most of the MCU nowadays. As a side topic, Kryptonite/magic isn't the only weakness superman has, circumstances and good execution of the story can also be: Remember when Lois died in the 1978 movie? As frigging ridiculous, the subsequent reverse time scene was, Superman was defeated there. No, ignore that time reversal shit. He was defeated, period. That scene demonstrated that Superman can be hurt in other ways other than physically and had a good reaction from us as an audience. Point is, if your grand reimagining is going to end on a Multiverse, time traveling or "vs" setting, toss that script in the trash and do it again. Sell a story, not toys.

1:20:45 as someone who has education in writing and a tiny bit of experience (not professional mind you) i have to say: i am not sure the problem is how the characters are written as much as it is the plot in this specific case. lois and clark seem like fairly interesting characters, but if all or most of the challenges they face are due to conveniences it can absolutely hurt them (put simply, its just lame to see someone solving all their issues just by being lucky, although there could be exceptions). the writers should just sit their asses down and try to think of a way that makes sense for the characters to overcome the challenge, that way the character's strengths are visible for all to see and we can be happy with them when they overcome the obstacle. resulting to a more enjoyable experience for everyone and to a more "likable" (for lack of better word) character. by utilizing a convenience to solve a problem the audience will likely feel cheated and the outcome will not feel earned. so basically, it boils down to "write better plots" or "do not be lazy" or "redraft for fucks sake" thank you for listening to my ted talk
@c-puff8 ай бұрын
Honestly that makes a lot of sense. This was a big complaint I had about Jimmy who I feel absolutely has potential to be a good character but he is so poorly utilized and seems to only exist when the writers NEED him for his convenience. Lois on the other hand, despite having groundwork to be a good character, is made less and less likeable as we go by how the narrative treats her poor actions and because the writers coddle her. And Clark, possibly being the best written in the show, has tiny small moments where he gets to SAY things which make him shine, but when it comes to proactively doing things is almost always simply gifted the answer.
@jymjym79958 ай бұрын
you can have the best written characters, but if you don't know how to utilize them the story will still fail. and the characters will end up being lame.

The problem is that there is a difference between a legal right and a moral right. You may have the legal right to print whatever you want: but to publish a misleading and unsubstantiated attack on someone, not because you believe it is true or care about protecting anyone, but solely because you think it will advance your career (which, in my understanding, is what Vikki is doing here)--that is not morally right. (Also makes Vikki look more like Livewire than this shows Livewire does.) And I think this conflict between her and Lois could be good if it led to self-reflection on Lois' part. Because she has also been just as career-driven and willing to bend the rules to get ahead. This is a place where the 'we're not so different' cliche would actually work. And it could make Lois reexamine her priorities and realize that truth is more important than her career. Or, to go a slightly different direction, Lois could realize that she has been biased towards Superman because of her affection for him, and she decides that now she has to look solidly at the evidence of whether he is good or not. (For that to work, there would have to be actual evidence against him. Because if the multiverse is infinite and every possibility is actualized somewhere, the existence of evil Supermen elsewhere only proves that it is a POSSIBILITY which is something everyone knew from the start.)

My response to Lois Lane and Clark's dating intro can be summed up in my first impression of her introduction. “Hi, I’m Lois Lane,” Me: ”and I’m a bitch!”. The character that I VAGUELY remember from other sources: I love fey characters, I love chaotic neutral characters, I love freaking old folklore/fairy tale ancient fey/dwarf/little people characters that fuck with humans for fun, not to be evil. Just, again, chaotic neutral. The design they went with here makes me cry, the original harkens back to all those roots. Bah. Multiverse is fun until as you say, it gets old. I enjoyed it for a while. Now I miss simple alternate universes or mirror universes if you want to write that. Let the multiverse go, marketing, please. First, they trash character development opportunities, and now they trash a great comedy writing chance. Come on people, LOONEY TOONS could write them into the “portal-proof” room and out better! The Emperor’s Groove managed it!!! *also, the essence of how bad episode 7 gets, after Mix steals the ship, I needed to take a break because too much utter garbage had occurred and my brain was tired* The problem with the flower and 1 week anniversary thing is: This is a mistake you make in your teen years. Like, you have your first significant other and you go too hard and fast, and you break boundaries. Then it kills the relationship, you talk to someone older and wiser, and you grasp this sort of thing makes people uncomfortable. They’re not that young! And thus, it comes off as uncomfortable. Like I guess we’re supposed to put it down to Clark’s lack of sleep, but… No, I get why it makes people uncomfortable, you included. Again, it’s one thing when you’re learning about boundaries and romantic relationships. This ain’t the time for this bullshit anymore. Finally, why the hey doesn’t Lois write a counter article?! Too simple, I know, I just- I can’t help it. LOL, weird copyright rules. (This comment didn't take me forever to post this time, yeah!)

Finally caught up with the uploads. I *really* wanted to like My Adventures With Superman. I still like a lot of it, but, that's mostly because it's the only notable piece of Superman media that's come out in the last half decade that has a mostly wholly positive take on Superman -- as in, Superman is a morally upright person, who doesnt display an undercurrent of being one bad day away from becoming Homelander. It's been a long time outside of DC's undermarketed animated feature films where Superman has been an unambiguously good person, like, the *latest* showing was the Suicide Squad game, where they *deliberately* paint his altruism as crippling stupidity. It's been a *real* rough time to be a Superman fan (arguably for the last decade, but, who's counting). One thing about the Vicky Vale episode that really strikes me is that Vicky could be, at this very moment, living in the criminal hellhole of Gotham, and have to deal with Batman flying around by night, beating criminals, and cops, within an inch of their lives. If Bruce is going through his first or second year as Batman, him getting "evidence" to the proper authorities isn't something he's nailed down pat yet. So, from the view of the press like Vicky, a vigilante is has been flying around terrorizing the citizens of Gotham by night and having them celebrate this fashion of "heroics" despite the dangers to the justice system this sort of vigilantism poses. She could be coming from a place of feeling morally obligated to remind the public that *just* because a person is "helping" doesnt mean their helpfulness should leave them unaccountable to the public. Also, Lois and Jimmy were not only eye-witnesses to Ivo's rampage, but, physically assaulted the assistant guy, who was an accomplice to Ivo. This *never* comes up, and would be extremely important to argue the morals of this entire scenario. If Lois, at all, brought up what research Kicky had done into her "source", because if Vicky *DIDNT* investigate her source, there's grounds to criticize her integrity as a reporter. Likewise, if the assistant guy had said "Oh I remember you, you're the girl who knocked me out to save Superman." that could give Vicky cause to interrogate Lois and Jimmy about *why* they're so invested in Superman's public image, leading her to discover Jimmy's channel, meaning he *directly* benefits from Superman's popularity, and that leaves interesting questions about Lois' motives for Vicky to try and dig into. Maybe, Vicky decides to drop her case on Superman as a menace, and instead, focus on unveiling his identity, and, the Daily Planet's unfair bias toward their reporting of Superman. *OR* you could have Vicky actually *LIKE* superman, but, understand that contrarian reporting is good for *BUSINESS* so she and Lois have to come to blows over the ethics of reporting an opinion you don't hold, for profit. She could cite that she's keenly aware Parry wants to hire her for the Planet, because the Planet could really use the prestige she brings, because the prestige she brings translates to sales, and illustrate further that editorial articles *ARENT* actual news, they are entirely biased writings, meaning the *ACTUAL* news getting reported is more important, and will see larger audiences IF the paper becomes more commercially popular. Lois could argue that it's fundamentally wrong, and a slippery slope, to report untrue things just to move merchandise, and how *bad* it might look for the paper if, the popular opinion goes *AGAINST* the editorials being published, allowing her to cite Jimmy's channel's sudden explosion in popularity as evidence that the people don't *WANT* to hate superman, and that a Story about the positive impact Superman is having would be the better way to go, and that Vicky's unfamiliarity with Metropolis' people means she doesnt 'know' her audience. *_OR_* you could have Vicky socratically dismantle Lois' perception of Superman. Lean *IN* to her paranoid side. Vicky Vale is her IDOL, she's the reported Lois desperately wants to BE, and have her just simply ask questions, that any reporter might ask -- the "hard hitting" questions that Lois wanted to bluntly ask people at Ivo's party! "Why are you protecting him?", "Why should this person's account of events be ignored?", "Do you think these events are unconnected?", "Do you have a personal connection to him?" just make Vicky *cold* as *ICE* about. She doesnt *CARE* about Lois' answers, or Superman's public image, or anything like that. She's *JUST* here to report on a side of Superman that *ISNT* being seen in the public, it's a *JOB* and that Vicky doesnt let her personal feelings on the subject influence her reporting. She could feel the public has a right to hear from the 'victims' of Superman, even if they're bad guys, because what would happen if Superman was seen as "always right" in the public? What could he potentially get away with, if everyone thought and felt his actions were Just? What if he just decided to kill people who were committing crimes? Play on Lois' encroaching fears about Evil Superman. have Vicky explain that our system of justice is based on precedent, and that Superman presents all new precedents that the public will ultimately have to weigh in on and if we all assume, or forget, that Superman's actions have consequences beyond the momentary safety, we may inadvertently raise him to be above the consequences of his actions. WHO will hold him accountable if not us? Or. You could have Vicky reveal she's really into Superman or something and she wants to get his attention with a scathing editorial, so she can entice him into a romantic rendezvous. Play on Lois' personal insecurities about her relationship with Clark, and her professional insecurities. Now, the AUDIENCE knows Clark wouldn't fall for Vicky, but, Lois sure doesnt. Vicky is intelligent, successful, charismatic, beautiful, what's NOT to love about the FANTASTIC Vicky Vale? She's a SUPER reporter and he's a SUPER man! Clark's also feeling distant, and he's always so busy, and Vicky's probably busy equally as much since she's SUCH a great reporter and theyre both hard workers and yadda yadda yadda! The show clearly wants to paint Lois as the central protagonist, hence the title and the framing of her terrible actions. So, having a romantic rival that's more similar to Lois than Superman makes sense, especially one who is above personal and professional reproach. Lois WANTS to be Vicky's understudy, she WANTS to be the kind of reporter she is... but she also doesnt want to lose Clark to some Gotham Hussy who only wants him because she has a thing for men in tights. They could have done incredibly interesting things for their characters, or their world, or their plot, or all of the above if they treated Lois' relationship to her job as anything more than a tool to explain how Lois' 'solves' things or why Lois acts how she acts. Lois is not a reporter because the writers want to explore the challenges of an upstart reporter coming to terms with the realities of being an upstart reporting with nothing but talent and altruistic ideals about the nature of the profession. Lois is a reporter because they wanted her to be able to get into trouble, or, have an excuse to get her into trouble. They don't want Lois to *be* a reporter, they want Lois to agonize *as* a reporter. Honestly, Lois would be better off starting a blog with Jimmy, if she REALLY wanted to bring hard hitting news to the public, at this point, Jimmy's channel probably has more active viewers than the Daily Planet by a wide margin. But. That would mean Lois can't agonize about "not being taken seriously by her peers" and "everyone taking advantage of her despite her clearly being right" and all the other things you get by sticking your main character in a dead-end job. There is a *reason* why every incarnation of Lois is already a pulitzer prize winning reporter -- it's so we can focus on Lois' ability *as* a reporter. We already assume she has earned the autonomy to pursue her own cases and that the only thing that would stop her is direct intervention from her boss. The writers clearly wanted this Lois to agonize about NOT being as good as them, while also telling us she's *just* as good as them. It's annoying. Not just because of the discrepancy, but, because you could have Lois as an established reporter, with Jimmy and Clark as her interns, and *still* have her in this postion of not being taken seriously -- just make her the lead reporter on the Planet's 'social media engagement and interests' division, which makes her peers treat her like a blogger. Lois wants to be a hard hitting front page reporting, covering crime and corruption and all those noble things, but, she's relegated to a section of the Planet's that's underfunded and scarcely understood by her superiors, in large part because she's younger than them. This could tie into why Parry sends her to deal with Ivo's party, have him assume that the yuppy new-money tech billionaire will probably resonate more with his younger reporter than any of his older, more experienced talents. But, ya know... then it'd be "problematic" that Lois and Clark are a romantic couple. Because she'd be his boss. And nobody wants to invite *that* perception of their show for discussion, even if it's an interesting plot thread that deals heavily in ethics, which is probably what Lois, as a reporting, should be a vehicle for exploring. Oh well. She's a fiesty dark-skinned tomboy. As far as the public is concerned, this is all that *truly* matters.

You telling me Lois, little Ms. "Superman is hiding something and is up to something nefarious and it is up to me to expose the truth" is now against a reporter having this same angle of investigation?... Geez, they really think they wrapped up that plotline arc with Lois, huh? What with her not wanting to slander Superman now that she knows he's a real person and all that pesky morality conundrum. It's not even bad for the sake of story. Vicky Vale is implied to be a reporter that Lois looks up to/ knows of, you can weave the narrative that Lois in her inexperience and insecurities is that this is the person she modeled her investigative journalism after, and now she has her own morals and integrity she wants to be true to in her career and she has to grow past her role models. But no, it's about wanting to defend her boyfriend. Heck, I don’t even know what Clark himself would have thought of this whole situation, as unfortunately by now it seems like the reason Clark was against Lois' first opinions wasn't because of pride but rather because it was coming from a crush he wanted to appeal to.

51:50 hey that Glaive looks kinda familiar, is that the Silence glaive or that's a just a ordinary glaive, and don't get me started on spear of Longinus look a like and the freaking dragon slayer, and thanks for explaining that the multiverse is getting boring thanks to bad writing or something. Like time travel it can be done well if not you got a massive mess on your hands

I feel like the universe was trying its damnedest to stop you from doing this. But, It was all worth it! ... This does make me want to watch more tokusatsu instead though...

Gee thanks KZbin for letting me know about this 4 DAYS AFTER IT CAME OUT!!!

Okay, you got me again: I really hate multiverse storylines, especially if they remove all the mystery and mystique from it and drop it all on you in the first storyline. (Which is kind of the reason why I'm not interested in Spiderverse despite everyone claiming it to be great.) I guess multiple Lois Lane's of the same ethnicity drives home the point that some universes differ more on certain actions than on starting conditions, but it's still a wasted opportunity.

So... DC have varied back and forth overtime on how infinite their multiverse is. Initially it was infinite. Then it was a single earth. Then it bounced back and forth from that a couple times before the New 52 reboot following flashpoint said there were only 52... until the whole "Death Metal" (terrible name) event brought EVERYTHING back to the table again. So, presently infinite in DC. Marvel hasn't, but mostly because the one time that I'm aware of that they collapsed their multiverse (godlike entities destroying ALL reality for... reasons), they explicitly put it ALL back afterwards.

1:00:43 Yeah you really got a point here with the concept of infinity although in DC's defense the way there Multiverse works is well to quote our man from DC crisis on Two Earths " with every choice we make we literally create a world can you read history branches in two one where we made the choice and another where we didn't. That is the secret of the universe you know. Millions of people making millions of choices creating infinite Earths some so similar to each other that you could spend a lifetime searching for any distinction, others so radically different that they defy comprehension." The DC Multiverse seems to work under the idea that there are technically finite amounts of new universe is appear almost constantly that there is no point in a numerical numbering system despite the fact that they still use a numerical numbering system. So technically there isn't infinite Earths but the number increases so quickly and so frequently that you can't really say there are trillions of universes or anything like that. Also infinite does actually have a secondary definition meaning a very large quantity so it's technically not incorrect even then there are different levels to Infinity. In basic terms something can be infinite in regards to the third dimension but be limited in the fourth dimension.

Perhaps so, but I feel when we start talking about alternative universes in a fakey sci-fi way where we have to think about these things as conceptual realities and not just as linguistics, then we can't use words like "infinite" as a hyperbolic word to express a point. At least that's how I feel, or you muddy how much of this fantasy concept we're supposed to take seriously.
@supernew10doh648 ай бұрын
@c-puff a lot of series just use the term infinite as shorthand for there are a metric crap ton of universes and we don't want to have a finite number because we want this to go on forever so there are just a ton of universes more than anyone would reasonably be able to catalog. I agree with you on a lot of this stuff the Multiverse is definitely a concept that has become very frustrating in recent years and I say this as someone who has been writing my own dragon ball fanfiction for the last like 8 or 9 years heavily dealing with time travel and the Multiverse. The Multiverse concept has become so tiring that I don't even want to do my own fanfiction at this point.🤣

The whole “5M subs” thing, did whoever did the phone layout accidentally mix up what was meant to be the view count and Jimmy’s sub count?
@kap16187 ай бұрын
what's ironic is that for how much the show wants to reintroduce the iconic and classic parts of Superman it none the less makes the same mistake Zack Synder did with its version of Mr.Myxlplyx.

Wait, Mr. Myxy was in the Snyderverse?
@kap16187 ай бұрын
@@harlannguyen4048Oh no, they never allow that. I was pointing out how this show handles magic is similar to how Zack Synder handles Super Heroes. With contempt.
@KeybladeMasterAndy8 ай бұрын
Your rant about the misuse of "infinite" would likely not have been necessary if Mr. Mxy(i.e. the writers) just added "...that I know of" or "...on record" to his talks about the multiverse.

1:33:22 I actually have to say this is accurate (or actually extremely generous) because I’ve had KZbin go “this channel just uploaded a video” DAYS after it’s posted and I’ve already seen it. Wouldn’t even be surprised if this very video has this happen.

I actually though about that too XD but then I got so fed up with the whole plot point I just went into "AAAAGH!" territory.

Wait, waitwaitwait, Clark sent a picture to Lois of himself, in Superman costume, with flowers???? Is he mental? Does he not think ARGUS or Waller or whoever is not monitoring the phone of the escaped general's only daughter???
