Getting out of the lower ranks is a probably a mix of what Bobby and Weak3n say. I understand what Bobby is saying about more of a support mentality, but I agree more with Weak3n about more supportive roles/play styles being unrealistic till mid/high Plat at the earliest. Been playing casually since season 1, casual Conquest support main since season 2, and was just flip flopping wins and losses if I didn't duo queue. Decided to make this the season to actually take Ranked seriously. Decided to solo queue as Jungle (due to being a fundamentally similar role) and was able to hard carry myself from silver 3 to gold 4 in like 10 games.

More specific examples of things like when a jungler screws the support would be appreciated in a video like this. We who don’t understand what these mistakes are don’t know what you mean when you say that. Thanks so much for the video!

I'm in plat and I definitely belong in that "mix of both shotcaller and mechanical freak" category, more in a way that I don't excel in either of them. I can't complain though, since I've only reached this rank recently. My biggest concern is my god pool. It's very small. I can play various characters but there's only 2-3 per role I'm very confident with and I'm definitely not happy with myself because of that. I feel like I can't improve until I start carrying with other gods too. I'm almost ashamed of my plat borders sometimes lol

The main ingredient to winning is having teammates that WANT to win. That do NOT have a losing mentality. Ive beaten a pro. Ive beaten masters and gms by soloing them and in 1v2s from ganks. But if you have teammates that simply do not want to win then its impossible to win. Being broze and silver is no shame. Thats the beginning. However plat you have pc smurfs throwing to "stop you from being in my diamond lobbies". You NEED a adc who doesn't throw tantrums after 1 or 2 deaths. You NEED someone who wants to support. 90% of this community doesnt want support. 5% actually does and the other 5% just deals with it. You NEED a jungle who ganks instead of plahing farming simulator. You NEED a mid who rotates to other lanes AND calls missing. You NEED a solo who can also peel because again, supports start fights because they simply do not want support. The solo needs massive balls and is willing to dive people. Start fights. Tank towers. Phoenixes. And will adapt builds. Finally, you can drop 12+ kills with 50k damage and no more than 6 deaths but if your adc is never leaving lane. If your support is full damage. If your jungler says ganking isnt their job then you will simply not win. These are the issues, pros and content creator's simply refuse to acknowledge, accept, read, understand and listen about. ESPECIALLY pc players. And ill gladly debate anyone about everything I said. Infront of a live audience or on discord. No face time cuz I dont have a IPhone

Ooof, the part about tanks needing balls to dive towers is too real in every game mode. Love playing assault and having to be the one diving towers as a mage because the 3 tanks on my team want to just stand at tower line getting poked for 5 minutes lol

@jeremyn4397 I honestly don't play assault lol but in Conquest the support and solo could be well over half hp. Not at full but over half and they just refuse to tank stuff

Ya you can get unlucky and have teams that int beyond anyone’s capabilities but IMO if you can’t carry enough games to move up you just aren’t improving, the team won’t matter enough of the time to stop any determined player from getting to where there skill leaves them.

Used to play ps4 smite supp main got to p2 before i switched to pc and now i feel way better mechanically and understanding wise of building and counter building etc but elo hell os preventing me from leaving g2 when i feel im easily high plat mid diamond, really sucks my team blows all the time

Serious question I'm a returning player that never played a whole lot but I've been playing alot as a returner I unlocked ranked and been grinding. I understand a lot about item builds the characters and the map however what do I do to rank out of bronze when my teammates don't understand how to play thier roles? Almost every game there will be 3 people starting in duo lane as the adc of solo lane doesn't know what side to play and won't listen shpuld I just go to solo lane myself? Or the jungle just playing lanes and not jungle etc .. I'm grandmaster in overwatch and can do unranked to gm solo carry easy but smite is different because the start is everything and if ppl aren't doing the optimal start amd they're playing the wrong lanes and messing up farm it's easy to fall behind the enemy fast if they're playing right

Hey guys, I am level 124. Been playing smite on and off since 10th grade and now a sophomore in college. How do i get out of bronze. I’m not a bronze player in terms of my skill but the matchmaking is not on my side. People are always leaving and being toxic. They all think they are spl players and that they are always right. Any tips for my to get out of this dungeon??

Been playing since Open Beta, and got into conquest the past 3 years to get better at the game. Now I haven't played Ranked until recently, because the casual conquest MMR has always been really good until recently. The reason I've started playing ranked was because the casual matchmaking started getting really bad. Then I encountered the same problem you are where even ranked seems to be against us. You may be suffering from the community fatigue, as well as folks taking a break until Smite 2 comes out. Ever since Smite 2 closed alpha and SPL stopped on Smite 1, matchmaking and MMR has been all over the place. This isn't because the system is broken, but less and less people are playing the game. So you're getting matched with Bronze level players with Plat in casual & ranked matches. People start to rage quit more, give up due to huge skill gaps, and this causes more people to stop playing simply because it's not fun anymore. You're not alone, and unfortunately this is just a product of SPL being gone for Smite 1, and people taking breaks for Smite 2. I recommend doing the same, as I've never been frustrated playing Smite 1 when solo queuing until recently. The skill gap with randoms is so huge now, as well as the level of arrogance / ego with these players that makes it intolerable. Never have I been more frustrated playing a game in my life; I've lost matches before in casual / ranked and went "they just outplayed us, they made better choices, I can't be angry at this." But now it's just people who don't know what they're doing vs. people who REALLY know what they're doing, so it's a lost cause at the start. You can't remedy team skill diff. Inbowned made a video about this that recent matches have been the most frustrating and polarizing matches in Smite history because of the reasons stated above. It's time for us to follow suit and take a break. Predecessor seems like a cool MOBA to get into while we wait for Smite 2.

@@GuiriTVI 1v5 people in gold, so bronze would be even easier. Just play a jungle or mid who can hyper carry. Kill everyone yourself, bronze players you can 1v5 if you’re even a good level player. Bronze is definitely not an Elo hell sanctuary

@TroyFields05 I suggest just focusing on your own play. mute all of your teammates until you get to high gold/plat. People leaving games sucks, I know that for sure, but it happens to everyone unfortunately. You just accept that that game is probably a loss, and try to have an idea of what you’ll do in the next game. I can’t tell you the amount of times a teammate will say something incredibly stupid that they actually know nothing about down in the low levels of ranked. I know they say stupid things, because I end up carrying the game on my way to get back to diamond/masters. Focus on your plan, always be thinking about the next camp/wave you’re going to farm, and then make plans around your farm. Plan to back after clearing a wave or camp, plan to back for a crucial item so you can be ready for an objective or a fight.

Pubstomping will only get you so far, and you can't carry a team that doesn't group or work together. 5 bad players have a pretty good chance at killing a good player if they spam their abilities at one person. Either way, the point was that there are less people playing, so newbies / bad players are being matched with good players more often than any point in Smite history.
