What causes runners to get a late jump? I'll have a 99 speed/steal player that will get amazing jumps sometimes and other times will delay a second or 2 after I release the steal button. Infuriating.

It's completely random. You holding and releasing steal doesn't do anything. You just press it before the pitch and they will go. Just random if they get a good jump. Higher steal rating helps but they still get bad jumps sometimes.

Make sure that your not using the captain you currently are using isn’t on your Diamond dynasty team, events or mini seasons just change your rosters accordingly if they are on one of those teams (2. go to exchange players then go to season 2 cornerstone captains then exchange the card for the pack (3. Open the pack in the pack store and choose a new captain (4. If you collected the cornerstone captain in the season 2 collection it won’t work and your stuck with the card you collected
