I don’t know if you’ve tried this, but I took a defensive driving course behind the wheel just practicing like how to avoid accidents and how to slam your brakes and stuff and it helped me feel so much more comfortable with driving

Hey Mary ! If you are looking for original scents, you should look into Lush perfumes and Body Sprays and if you like woodsy scents, I recommend Shade perfume and Guardian of the Forest Body Spray (smells like a pine forest after it rains).

you’re right! I’m just picky, and I acknowledged that I’m being pretentious about it. I think it’s also important to note that it’s totally possible to enjoy books that aren’t “””good”””- some of the books I’ve most enjoyed reading have been kind of poorly written, and some of the books I haven’t cared for are really superbly executed. That’s why it’s so important to recognize that every single person is looking for something different in a book, and liking a book is a completely subjective experience. My main issue with booktok is that most videos don’t talk about the mechanics of the book, or the writing in general - they talk about how enjoyable the book is. Nothing wrong with that, I’m just looking for both. I definitely don’t think I have particularly good taste, but I do know my own preferences really well because I read so much for pleasure/career. I’m sure you know your own preferences better than booktok does as well :)

Fun fact - the sol de Jainero bum bum cream is actually pronounced “boom boom” , because bum bum is “butt” in Portuguese, so it’s actually a Portuguese word. I also have been loving fragrances this year too. If you haven’t tried you should get the lake and Skye 11:11 oil or perfume for layering, it’s very much a skin scent that enhances a lot of other fragrances! 🤎
