Teemies it looks beautiful! But if the books have different themes it would annoy me... let’s say one is a historical fiction about a struggling man and the one next to it is about a 15 year old girl who falls in love with a hot werewolf guy. That would throw me off lol, then I wouldn’t know where to look to find what. Better to sort them according to genre/theme.

One of my all time favourite series is ‘Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events’. The books only get beat by ‘Harry Potter’ because... obviously. I saw the movie first and fell in love with the characters and just wished there had been more story, then I found out there were books. I read all 13 in the span of 6 days and oh my god. They were so good. The plot is unique and I think it’s a really good mix of mystery, suspense, and sadness. It had the best ending in a book ever and like I said is only beat by Harry Potter....

I've always disliked the lovetriangles and found them really overdramatic and pointless. But the lovetriangle in Infernal Devices was somehow...special. Real talk here: I love Harry Potter, I always have and I always will.. BUT.. I don’t consider Cursed Child as part of the series, it just read like a bad fan fiction and I like to pretend it doesn’t exist. Also, I do NOT appreciate JK Rowling adding things to the series after it’s been published. Ex. Dumbledore is gay, Anthony Goldstein is Jewish, etc. I understand authorial intent, but in my mind, the first seven books are canon. That’s it. Not the random things JK Rowling spits out on Twitter after the fact to seem more inclusive. I like Harry Potter, and by that I mean the seven original books. Nothing more, nothing less. That was very rambley I apologize. It’s 2am I should be sleeping. Not writing book reviews...

Exactly same opinion! but one teeny bit tweek, Dumbledore being gay was told by her during the reign of the first 7 books. She actually made the producers change the script of Half Blood Prince a bit, coz Dumbledore was gay. Because that's how Grindelwald makes so much sense to us.

J.K. Rowling did mention that she's always known that Dumbledore was gay but there wasn't a reason to bring it up. Same with prof. McGonagal's past. But then they had to change the HP movie script because it had Dumbledore flirting with a woman or something of the likes, and J.K. Rowling then said that he is gay.

The Percy Jackson series is what made me fall in love with reading when I was young. My one regret about them is that I read them around the time of the Harry Potter hype at my school so I've only gotten around to reading them recently. I also love the "Mortal Instruments" series it was my first bout of real binge reading as I read the entire series in a little over a week

This is my list of all time favorite book series 1 🐬 The Ascendence Trilogy by Jennifer A. Nielsen I loved reading this series in Jr. High, and there wasn’t a whole lot of people that were reading them. When I read them, I just loved the characters, and I could really relate to Jaron in so many ways. My mom loved these books when I read them to her. 2 🚃 The Boxcar Children Series by Gertrude Chandler Warner I read this series throughout the time in Elementary school, and every time I couldn’t find a good book. I would read a book in The Boxcar Children series, and it’s a great introduction to mystery novels to younger kids. 3 🌻 Anne Of Green Gables book series by L.M Montgomery The quirky narrative, the love-able main character ( Anne Shirley Cuthbert), and the mischievous, adventurous character ( Gilbert Blythe). I’m not finished with it yet, but I still enjoy the ones I’ve read ( so far). 4 🦁 The Chronicles Of Narnia by C. S Lewis When I was younger, my parents read this book series to me, I loved watching the movies. I dressed up as Lucy Pevensie for Halloween when I was 7 years old, and I named by cat after Aslan because of the books. I loved the books and let’s be honest we’ve all looked in our closets for Narnia because we want to live there. 5 ⛄️ The Fudge-A-Mania series by Judy Blume ( I. E. Tales of Fourth Grade Nothing, Fudge A Mania, Double Fudge, Superfudge). My sister read these books and I got hooked on them when I read them. The character Farley Drexel Hatchel reminded me of my brother and it earned him the nickname that the main character Peter calls his younger brother Fudge. 6 📚 Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke I really love fairytales, and I love fantasy novels. I loved how unique this series is, writing about a character that can bring out a character that they read in a story, the way it’s done, is awesome. 7 🏘 Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children series by Ransom Riggs The mystery, the time traveling, characters with powers, creative villains, this is all their in Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children Book series. It’s definitely a goth-ish fantasy book series but it’s recommended to everyone who loves old school Tim Burton movies ( Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Beetlejuice, Ed Wood, The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Big Fish). 8 ⭐️ The Ramona Quimby Book series by Beverly Clearly I’m positive that just about every girl ( young or old) can relate to this book series, about Ramona Quimby, and her eccentric family, as well as her neighborhood. There were a numerous amount of ways that I was similar to Ramona Quimby, ( especially when I was younger). This one definitely highlights relationships between sisters like how the Fudge A Mania series highlights that with brothers. Those who want an enjoyable read this is recommended. 9 🦋 The Time Quintet Series by Madeline L’Engle ( A Wrinkle In Time, A Wind In The Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, forgot the others since I’m not finished with it yet). There are many ways how I’m like Meg, I punched a girl who bullied me, twisted a girl’s nose for saying rude things to my face about my brother and my mom, and punched a boy for being a jerk, those things I did when I was in Elementary School. I wasn’t in the gifted and talented program like my siblings were, I sucked at math, and those around me ( classmates) were telling me how stupid and ugly I am. I also could really relate to Meg’s struggles in the 1st 2 books, and I loved the ones I’ve read so far. I also love Charles Wallace, he’s just the sweetest character, and I hope that someday there are incredible filmmakers who will do the book justice like how Peter Jackson did with The Lord of the Rings series. 10 🎂 The Harry Potter Series by J.K Rowling It’s extremely hard to place all of my all time favorite book series, because of how much I loved them, devouring them, and enjoying them as a whole. I read the Harry Potter Series when I was 13 years old, it was the last year for A.R for me, and I really wanted to get 300 A.R points just so I could go to 6 Flags. I accomplished that goal, and this series lent a helping hand. I loved the magical feel of this series, the characters, especially reading how much they grow. I also loved the movies, I remember dressing up as Luna Lovegood for movie character day at my school. 11 💍 The Lord Of The Rings Book Series by J.R.R Tolkien I bought these books at a bargain book store for $0.25, and I also grew up watching the movie adaptations of these novels. This series helped create some of the greatest novels ever written, and I also love the unique magical characters that this series has to offer. I remember watching the show Sherlock and when Martin Freeman was on screen I wanted to shout, “ Bilbo Baggins!” But I couldn’t because I was surrounded by my classmates. I also couldn’t forget Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins and the hilarious characters Merry and Pippin. My cousin saw the Hobbit movies and we called my sister a Hobbit a couple of times. There were many wonderful memories from the books and from the movies. 12 🎩 Mark Of The Thief Trilogy by Jennifer A. Nielsen I’m not done with this trilogy yet, but from what I’ve read so far, I really enjoy it so far. I’m hoping to find the last book so that I can finish it. But the author is my favorite author because of The Ascendence Trilogy, this trilogy, and the novel A Night Divided. I love how she writes her books, and how unique the stories are that she writes.

Try 20th Century Boys too, it's a very good manga series about a bunch of kids grew up to adulthood only to find someone from their childhood grew up to be a cult leader who wanted to end the world. Alice 19th by Watase Yuu although perhaps not that into mainstream is good too, it's about an older sister went into war with her younger sister over jealousy and it involves some magic priesthood that can use words as their powers. It's a metaphor of how our words have the power to build or destroy someone who received the words we said. Even honestly, Naruto is very very verryyy good-I know the series is pretty long, but if you've ever experienced bullying, loneliness, abandonment etc but still strive to break this evil cycle on people around you, you'll relate so much. So much feels :) Try Master Cooking Boy too, there's so much heartfelt struggle and foe-to-friendship building involved. So much feels too :) There's lots more than these too!

@Grannyskydivingguru as she said, she loved the series for how character driven they are. The plot isn't the most important part of the books, just like the gods aren't the most important part to the Characters. They are send to quests by their parents but what matters is camp half-blood. It's about Grover and Annabeth about Percy, Chiron about Nico and so many others, I mean damn you even get to feel pitty for Clarisse. The Plot is repetitive no question. But it kinda doesn't matter if you can just experience the characters interacting with each other. It's about their backgrounds and how they handle the world in their way, it's never about how the world actually is. But I do understand that you could dislike it if you are more keen to plot driven stories.

Have you read A Series of Unfortunate Events? They were the books that got me into reading as a kid
@cityofasthma

Courtney Ward O Never finished them as a kid, they just dragged in, you know? The only reason there were 13 chapters and 13 books was because 13 is 'unlucky'. I got to about book 7 and just gave up.
