I still love 2 perfumes I never use myself because my mom used them. She died early this year and sometimes they give me some kind of comfort. First from Van Cleef and Arpels and Rush from Gucci. I , personally, like lighter perfumes. Softly from Jil Sander and Tous ( a Spanish Perfume) . Perfumes have the power to trigger all kinds of emotions.

We have quite similar tastes, Charlotte. I either have or enjoy most of the fragrances in your top 10... the only difference is that I would choose the OG Hundred Silent Ways over the X because it has more of a "hook" than the smoother X version. Current favorite perfume is Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais, a silky, sweet scent with a touch of chestnut. Gorgeous bottle and beautiful for fall. I really enjoyed this video and wish you would do more fragrance content! Would totally love that. ♥♥♥

I never liked perfume until I smelt one on a stranger on the bus. I had to ask her what it was. It was Un jardin en Méditerranée from Hermes. I rushed to a Sephora and smelt it, and I discovered the "jardin" collection. I still love Un jardin en Méditerranée, I also love Un jardin sur la lagune but the one I wear everyday is Un jardin sur le Nil. It does not have great projection or sillage but I smell it on myself most of the day. Every time I smell it, it feels comforting, it's like feeling the sun on my skin, near the sea, with a hot wind on my face. I looooove it.

I have loved perfumes since I was a child. I have a clear memory of going with my dad to get her a bottle of Chanel •5, in the little glass true perfume bottle. It’s the only time I remember my dad getting my mom a gift. I have so many perfumes that I could probably not buy another bottle and my kids will still have to deal with my perfumes 😅 but will I stop buying them? No! My favourites that I will rebuy, and have already a couple of times, are Tom Ford’s Soleil Neige, Bitter Peach & Lost Cherry. I also love some others but I’ve not gone through them like those Tom Ford three I mentioned.

Sometimes, the decants just don't give the full perfume experience. Glad you hung in there! Bianco Latte is my No. 1 compliment getter. And she is a beast! Lasts over 10 hours. Love Oud for Greatness, but quite pricey. Lattafa's Badee Al Oud, Oud for Glory is soooooo close to the original. And only 25€. I don't know how they do it. If you love a leather note and the fragrances of Stephané Humbert Lucas, try to get a sample of Venom Incarnate. Strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries mixed with leather. It shouldn't work, but it does. Very addictive and quite sexy!

My favorite at the moment is Creed Queen of Silk. I have realized that my favorite notes are rose, mint, patchouli, and iris, most of which are not in this scent. Go figure. It does supposedly have saffron though. I am not sure I know what saffron smells like in a fragrance

I had a decant of Bianco too and it didn’t smell good to me really-flat, medicinal, just 😑-maybe I need an actual bottle?! Also I bought a sample of BDK Pas ce Soir Extrait because of your recommendation and I LOVE IT! I wear it to bed even. So thank you! Hello Charlotte! Im not a huge niche lover simply because of the high prices but I do have a few. It's getting cold here in NY and I have been reaching for the warm cozies like Replica Jazz Club, by the fireplace, Clean reserve skin. I am loving NOYZ Love Club it's a leathery and rose frag that surprised me how much I like it. Lipstick Fever by Juliette has a Gun, and ECLAIR by Lataffa which is supposed to smell 99% like the first fragrance you mentioned in your video! I am interested in seeing if you agree on that front since you have the original!

I do love and/or own quite a few beauties on this list. God of Fire is a little bit too much for me, but still lovely. I have to admit, I am getting a little bit tired of BR540, but it still is my most complemented fragrance. I recently got samples from Maison Crivelli Hibiscus Mahajad and Tuberose Astrale. I love Hibiscus Mahajad, which I did not expect. Tuberose Astrale is a beast! Literally one spray will do it. Not sure if I will purchase it, because I don't see a whole lot of occasions to wear it, but boy is it special!

I adore some of these and very much dislike others haha. I really did not like God of Fire and Oud for Greatness nor Althair but I think I’m in the minority here. I’m truly the opposite in that my skin hangs on to fragrance rather than eating it up as you say. For this reason I’m enamored with very airy fragrances such as Mizensirs Poudre D’Or or Roja Elixer pour femme. I absolutely love Bromptom immortals but for me this is a cozy, more bold scent. I wouldn’t describe it as airy 😆. I adore Pas Ave Soir Extrait and actually I need to get my nose on Nishane Hundred Silent Ways X because I only liked the OG when I layer it with something dark like YSL BabyCat. The X version may be the answer!

There are a few companies that offer decants/samples online. I’ve used Scent Decant, Scent Split and Lucky Scent to try different scents.
