Nice job ,I have a 1966 Buick Riviera GS that was bought on the night of Desert Storm, from original owner the car sat in his garage from 1979-91, fully loaded 425 cu. with the factory Carters 2 x 4bbls,Uniroyal red line Tiger Paws, All options you can think of, took 3 years, had engine redone and resealed the turbo 400 trans, Repainted in Buick Fawn Centari, only the driver seat had tears and some coin got into the gear mechanism for my tilt power seats, And i never had to recharge my AC from all this time i had the car. I'm also the original owner of a 1987 Buick Grand National 31,000 miles, T-Roofs , some engine bolt on's, not afraid to run against the new Dodges or Mustangs, Can't sleep on the Buicks at stop lights, love showing my tail lights from a 56 and 35 year old Buicks!!!

I commend you sir! What a beautiful job you have done. I have a 65 Buick Wildcat that needs restoration as well. I’m gonna have it restored. I don’t have the time or no how to do what you have done! I love old cars since I was a kid. These body styles are the best GM ever did! I will be coming to you on weatherstripping information as they are very similar

Great work. I know how arduous it is. Never completed a restoration myself. But fixed many cars from rust. Anyone with the skill and discipline to do this job, would be a reliable asset in any business.

Great patience and amazing work. I’m now starting to rebuild my 65 impala. Do you have any videos of replacing under dash harness?
@ImpalaCadillacRestoModDIY Жыл бұрын
Thanks, I don’t have any videos of that, but it’s really not that complicated. Get a label maker and mark everything as you disconnect it.

Thanks for the inspiration. I bought back my '65 Impala SS after 28 years (only took me 4 days to track it down), and I'm not looking forward to what surprises are under the paint job the guy gave it.

I wonder what Chevrolet would have said back in late 1964 if a customer wanted to order the new 1965 Impala sedan with a console shifter and buckets like the SS model.

Another good one - I enjoy watching these videos, being in the same boat. You mentioned that you did a vehicle history search when you first got the car. Do you remember the service that you used? I'm interested in doing the same thing on my '66 Caprice.

Me and my son did a65 ss 396 4 speed cypress green black interior. I hope to buy another to share with my grandchildren. God bless MAGA

Great job it turned out very nice, I'm thinking about tackling the interior myself on my 65, your thoughts, take your time or take it in, i feel like I can do it myself? Did you get new weather stripping?
@ImpalaCadillacRestoModDIY Жыл бұрын
You can definitely do it yourself. I had never done anything like it before. I bought the weatherstripping from a lot of different places. eBay was one of them, the window felts came from Hubbards. They were better fitting than the others .

How did you do a history report on that car? I has a 66 caprice im trying to find some information on
@ImpalaCadillacRestoModDIY4 ай бұрын
I searched classic car history report and I think I paid $10 and got lucky and there was som history on this car. That’s not always the case. Some old cars don’t have much or anything to show. On my other old car I didn’t find anything.
