I'm finishing Network Effect rn : you're in for a treat ! Best one so far, it capitalizes on what it set up in the previous books. Also, I'm on my reread of The Realm of the Elderlings. I hope to finish the 3rd Liveship Traders and maybe take a breather with a light summer read (all those romantasy recs have wore me down 😆) !

I remember being really reluctant to pick up the 7th book in The Expanse series because of the time skip before the final 3 books. Eventually there was a dry spell with no good scifi books coming out, so I decided to read that one after all and was blown away completely. The final trilogy might actually be my favourite out of the whole cycle, and the way everything is wrapped up is just *chef's kiss* The authors' new book is great too btw, I just finished it a few days ago (thanks Netgalley!). The only thing to say without spoiling anything is that it's very, very different from The Expanse.

In July I want to read Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett, The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters, After Dark by Murakami (currently listening to this), Flying Solo by Linda Holmes, What You Are Looking For is in the Library by Michiko Aoyama(I'm about 40% through this), The Kamogawa Food Detectives by Hisashi Kashiwai, and Days at the Morisaki Bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa. If there's time, I'll also at least start Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen.

I love the breadth of your reading as I also read across many genres and I always get so many great recommendations from your videos!! Absolutely loved this list and I look forward to hearing about your thoughts on these. Personally, I’m just starting The Tainted Cup thanks to your rec and I’m already loving it. The atmosphere is amazing.

Read The Daughters War last month and LOVED it! Just finished The Stardust Grail today. Planning to read The Sky on Fire by Jenn Lyons, Outlander,Jurassic Park, and maybe also pick The Ninth Rain back up! I soft Dnf’d it years ago with the intention to return when I was out of my reading slump. Possible reads include Wolfsong and Foul Days! Happy reading and Happy Birthday 🎂🎉

I’ve been in a 2 month reading slump so my goal this month is very gentle - I want to read the last unicorn and a discworld book (not sure if I’ll do a re-read or a new one). Hopefully one of those will get me out of my slump and I’ll read way more 😅

I am extremely pomped about 2 LGBTQ+ debuts from people I deeply admire this month: Anton Hur with " Toward Eternity", a SF novella and Willow Heath with "Managing and Other Lies: A Queer Horror Collection".

I dont mean to be rude but I've been watching your videos for ages bc i love your recs and opinions and still cant get used to those looooong symopses on each book. 🙈 I geuninely dont understand...why?.. why do we need so much info? Am i really the only one who doesnt need those lol? I watch each video at 2x speed and it still seems too slow. 😅 I want tto hear WHY my fave booktuber decides to read this or that, the rest i can find on gr. Honestly, am i the only one???

It’s so funny because Regan’s summaries both before and after she reads the books is absolutely why I watch her videos. I’m in awe of how she can describe books so thoroughly but also in such a way that makes it sound so appealing

Yeah it’s just you. I think Regan explains books so clearly and concisely. If i’m unsure on a book I will often look to see if she has reviewed it because I know her description will be thoughtful and thorough to help me decide.

I really appreciate her descriptions because it helps me as a reader to decide what I want to read next. Also it’s better than reading a synopsis, hearing someone talk about something so excited makes it all the more worth it. If you don’t like that part of her videos or annoyed maybe don’t watch them then…?

I don’t mean to be rude either, but I really don’t think your comment will get much support here. I follow Regan specifically because she delivers thoughtful reviews without spoilers that I can use in picking my next book. I’m someone who will DNF a book I’m not connecting with rather than waste any more time. In the long run she saves me a ton of time.
