I think the main reason we are so fascinated by foreign exchange students is because we don't hear a lot of foreign accents or meet people from outside our country very often. They're different and new and exciting. They bring a new viewpoint and opinions and knowledge of their home country.
@favodore11 жыл бұрын
yeah i know what all these mean for you. i spent a few months in America too and i do know how it becomes warm inside yourself when you see your videos of your really nice time in the US. :)
@lenafranziska35912 жыл бұрын
It was hard in the beginning and really not easy. Actually, not too many people came up to me and started a conversation. Usually you have to start talking to them .But after a while you'll find amazing friends and you'll know that even though you had though times it was worth it. Before I became an exchange student, I was shy and didn't have much self-confidence but this has changed now. I'm not afraid to talk to strangers anymore and I am so glad that I made the decision to spend a year abroad

Well, I could already speak English pretty well before I left, but of course it's not easy at first. The first weeks I was always really tired, it gets pretty exhausting, I actually nearly fell asleep in my 5th period lol Just never give up, it get tough sometimes but if you stay strong it's going to be worth it, also I think Regensburg is a pretty nice place. I am sure you'll have a great time and by the way I New Zeeland sounds amazing, I've always wanted to go there!! Viel Glück ;)

A new book/ebook: "What Foreigners Need To Know About America From A To Z: How to understand crazy American culture, people, government, business, language and more.” Endorsed worldwide by ambassadors, educators, and editors, it paints a revealing picture of complex America to help those who will benefit from a better understanding, including international students. It also has chapters that identify the most common English grammar and speech problems foreigners have. Good luck to all!
