i'm a fan of dustin, but I think that's a bit of a subconscious recency bias on chandler's part, since he's the last dude that cracked him good, respectfully. The stats show that gaethje's the harder hitter, having more ko's than dustin in less fights than him. Edit: For people getting their panties up in a bunch, refer back to the first 5 words in my comment.

@@flor18gatar justin is known as a hard striker mainly because of his leg kicks, he cant hit hard too but people commonly get mixed up thinking that gaethje has some other worldly power for a lightweight. Go rewatch the fight. Dustin had Justin in the first round but the other rounds Justin was getting the better of the exchanges. The leg kicks was a big factor for Justin but was also his downfall. Dustin was countering a few of the leg kicks. His timing was perfect when he rocked Justin. Justin could've won that match but his coach told him to focus on the leg kicks going into that last round. Which wasn't necessary at that point. Dustin leg was already compromised. The coach should have noticed how well Dustin was countering.

@@NB-fk6ej thats a bad take. He obviously was feeling the shots hence why he eventually got hit one too many times in the head and got finished. Could he have got the leg kick tko sure but dustin was still there, still had movement and wasnt hobbling around. Excellent analysis. Like both fighters. Couldn’t pick two better guys to battle it out for the BMF title. Going with Gaethje by decision.

I'm way more excited to watch this one than the last, bc it's two guys who are much closer to being matched in their skill levels and where they are in relation to reaching their prime potential (over the course of their careers.) As much as we all love Diaz, I felt like he had already reached his peak and had started to go over the other side, while Masvidal was just coming into his. They weren't in the same place on the timeline, and that made it feel like the winner was a much more obvious choice before that first bmf bout. Anything could happen here! I think Dustin takes it, but honestly no idea. So excited to watch this fight!!

Bro u speak very honestly and truthfully about your previous opponents or other fighters in your division regardless of whether you have lost to them or like them or are going to fight them, I really like that and appreciste/respect that from fighters I enjoy to watch, which obviously includes u my man. Much respect whether it's a win or loss u are great to watch.

I think Dustin has the better tools, he has those combos and is so technical about when he uses his power shots, I think it’ll be a dustin w via KO

Fair enough you lost to them both, but oMg you took it to both of them bro!! It's as tho even when you lose a fight it's like you've won, purely because of the heart you show everytime you step in that cage, respect Mike 👌💯

The disrespect that Poirier gets is mind blowing, everyone says Gaethje evoled based on what? He looked like shit vs Olivera
@fahadus
@fahadus Жыл бұрын
Based on his fight with Fiziev. After Oliviera, he really got his act better. He was not expected to put a clinic on Fiziev like he did. Specially with the significant speed disadvantage.

People are so quick to jump on Poirier’s lacklustre second round against Chandler but fail to point out Gaethje’s worst performance of his career against Charles. He got dropped by a submission artist and choked within the first 5 minutes whereas Poirier gave Charles a run for his money. Gaethje may have evolved a bit but that’s about it. Just because he used a few jabs in the 3rd round against a gassed, not-so-experienced, and up and coming fighter, people overlook his Charles fight. However, I do like how they underplay Poirier’s skills. I want them to count him out so that he can prove them all wrong!

I got poirier. I think his selective striking is gonna be a huge factor. His ability to stay calm and defensive with his back against the cage is also gonna help when Justin tries to brawl. But most importantly, I think he'll be able to nullify Justin's leg kicks with good checks.

Predictions ay . I had gaethje to win later but not by a kick , but by heavier hands . So we might possibly , hopefully get a best of 3 match up down the line. Dustin does give opponents an avoidable sign he is feeling their power . Dustin tugs on his shorts immediately after taking a decent punch or kick, just sayin 😮
