Yes I couldn't agree more. I have the 1998 edition I bought but I've lost the very first one from 1991...probably in a house move which is a shame. Since I got back into the hobby in 2016 I have the full set! All the best! 73

I was the proud owner of a realistic dx 300 when they came on sale. I was devastated when wrtvh tested it and gave the verdict ‘poorest performance of any set tested’ 😢😢

For 50 Euros its not excessive in my opinion, the internet is great but websites come and go, i agree with you that this Bible for the SWL in print is a must. Regards to you Clint, hope the health worries are sorted out. Best 73.

Good to see your review Clint. I was lucky to receive my 2025 copy on Dec 17th so it is now well thumbed 😀 I haven't been tempted to get the Web App or e-book although it would be interesting to see them. 73.

Glad to see that the switch in publishers didn't hurt the quality. I might get the book, but I've had trouble finding it at Barnes and Noble or Amazon in the US. I will have to go to their website. I used to just buy it every 2 years, then catch up with the "corrections" online.

Haven't got the 2025 copy yet and am a bit hesitant to. I'd sent in multiple emails across the last year with zero response from anyone. These were updates for the book and weren't ever published in 2024 updates or the Web app. I gave up in the end and doubt they made the 2025 book. If they can't be bothered with a simple reply when they actively ask the community to report any updates then I don't feel compelled to engage with them if it's not reciprocated. I understand the importance of the book, but to be so aloof to your paying audience is a bit much. I'll vote with my wallet for now alas.

Good to see the hand book is still around and their website has it at around £44 with an app retailing at just over half that. There is also an e-book of the 2024 edition but no mention of the 2025 e-book just yet. The book is great and if the printed version is too expensive the app or e-book is a bargain at less than two packs of cigarettes. Thanks for the review. 👍

3:55 First FM in Oxford would disagree with your optinon on Radioplayer. 🙂 They're actually a consortium of big broadcasting companies (formed by the BBC and Global) to lock out smaller and online broadcasters. Thats why they have so many "official" stations and no others.

There will be lots of changes for AM in the UK and globally for shortwave, so yes. 73

ordered mine before Christmas, and still waiting for the company to send, "not good" if the release date is such a date and they fail to meet the deadline, gone are the days you were able to pick up a copy in most book shops, my first copy was in 1984, i do feel the book is sadly filling up with more advertisements to warranty the price tag with stations being lost over the air and shutting down is a great loss, but I'm not so sure i want to keep buying the same book with less stations in every year, and still demand the price they ask. i think more and more people will pull away as it isn't value for money. I'm not funding a publisher to produce less, while shortwave stations are getting less also, its a catch 22 i will wait for my copy to arrive and see if its still worth buying yearly, just my honest opinion, 73s and Happy new year 2025.....M1EMC

Thanks for your comments - all valid but remember there's a lot more in it than just shortwave stations of the world. It's also massively useful (for me at least) for the medium wave stuff. 73
