My Dad bought me my first model kits when I was about ten. A sailing ship - HMS Bounty - and the Lindberg 1/48 Lockheed Winnie Mae aircraft kits. He never built a model in his life. So, I was on my own. I slowly gained knowledge on proper modeling tools, paint, decals, etc. That was 57 years ago. 😊

I'm always wondering just what kinda older model kits some have .i still have about 3 or 4 Chevy corvair model kit's in my stash.and some Ford pinto models.and older model rocket kits.in store.trumble camera and hobbie was my favorite place to shop .when it was in Warren.ohio.that 's where I bought my models & ho. slot car's.when it was on 422 in Warren.ohio.
