This video is all about my Antique Singer sewingmachine from 1910 and the sewing attachments that I found a while back in an antique store.
I will show you how to use them and some tips on how to care care of your treadle sewingmachine.
Let me know if there is anything you missed or would like to get explained a little bit more!

You have a wonderful Singer model 115. The main reason she is wonderful is because she has a full rotary bobbin hook. Very nice!

I use a teflon zig zag foot on all my machines. I like the zig zag foot because I can see the stitches she creates as she's creating them.

I think you have the spool pin in an oil hole. It should be on the top of the hump by the hand wheel. I love your machine, I have several but no singers older then 1923.

Hello Gabriella Helena Couture! What an awesome video! You present the information very well! The information is helpful, especially the feet that you demonstrate. I don't sew sincerely yet! But I maintain machines so this is part of my research! What a great job you have done! The close-ups and the editing were of interest especially. Thanks for the quality job! Peace!

Found you from suggested videos, I do historically sewing and have a few singer machines: a late 1950s same model my husband’s mom use to use as well as an antique from the year my grandma was born, a shuttle bobbin hand crank I’ve used to make one garment so far. I should use it more. I also rescued a I think it’s 1940s in table sewing machine I think was made right after WWII that looks to be in great shape but the electrical cord dry rotted so have to replace that. Did not intend to get this one but the table is the perfect size for holding my hand crank machine vintage radio and plants when shut so I brought it home.

@@gabriellehelenacouture6935 Didn't intend to have a collection, the person who fixed my vintage 1950s machine offered to sell me the antique when I mentioned I liked the shuttle bobbin machines. and it started snowballing from there, trying to stay away from places that might sell old sewing machines so I don't end up with more.

So nice to see this, thank you! I didn't like my rolled hem foot and didn't use it for a long time. I preferred sewing rolled hems by hand, and got a better result. It finally started working better once I stopped pressing in the fold. I noticed it looked like your fabric was going in the foot folded - maybe I didn't see it right? It works better for me not to press, and to guide the fabric in a single layer. You have to sort of hold the fabric out to the left and guide it in. If too much gets in, you'll end up with a hem that's too wide or doubled. If too little gets in, you will end up with a raggedy hem. It just takes practice and you'll get it. It makes tiny hems so fast!

Hi Pamela, glad you enjoyed it, it was fun to try out these new sewingfeet. I did fold it and press it as I read that tip concerning rolled hems and treadles and it worked pretty good for me to get it it started, but will practice more so I can see which option works best for me :)

Thank you! I have a ~1900ish White Rotary treadle machine that I need to get serviced and I need to learn how to use it! I’ve been sewing on my modern Brother machine, but I have several vintage machines and a couple of antiques.

I also have a White Rotary treadle (made about 1918 according to some information I found on-line). I am servicing it (new belt and oil) as I want to use it for quilting as it has a larger harp. I have watched several videos and it seems slightly more intimidating than using the Singer. Among other things, the wheel is pushed away from you instead of towards you which is opposite of any other as far as I know. Did you start using yours and, if so, what was your experience?

I have two machines, one is a Pfaff 130 that belonged to my mum and I have another one, one that I bought. It says 'World's best deluxe sewing machine' made in People's Republic of China. Someone saw it and thought it was an antique, but, PRC wasn't even a thing till 1949.

Love your machine. It’s just beautiful. I sew with a singer portable (1954) and love it. A suggestion for you … it looks like you have masking tape as a guide. Get that off! It will damage the paint long term. Use painters tape instead or find a magnetic guide. I know this “cocktail fact” because I used masking tape as a guide and regretted it.

Painters tape? Thank you. For what it's worth, I have the exact same machine as she, right down to the Tiffany decals.

Hi, your "new" sewing machine is a grand old lady, I've got a singer hand crank machine, the only reason it's not my primary machine is reduced use of my right hand,
