Being from the Canadian Maritimes, born and raised, I'm going to say Canadians DO pay for healthcare with their time and frustration. There are no doctors here like, at all. My friend has had a severe chest infection for over a month now and still hasn't been able to see a doctor because there just aren't any to see if you aren't already dying. I used to be proud of having free healthcare as a Canadian but now I just laugh whenever I hear it. Maybe if you're in B.C. or Ontario, but sure as shit not out here. I'm sorry if this offends or upsets anyone but sometimes I just need to vent, and try and get awareness out there, y'know?If you or anyone you know is a doctor or psychiatrist and need some good carma, and for whatever reason cannot operate in a 3rd world country, consider practicing here in the Canadian Maritimes.
