Astroshop in Germany has currently a sale going on for the Omegon imx571 mono/osc cameras (rebranded Touptek). As of writing this (03. Mai. 2023), the Omegon vetec 571 Mono is 1.989€. The OSC is 1.349€! Ordered mine yesterday while I saw it as I have been thinking about buying one for months haha and already received it - the Omegon vetec 571 mono. So the Omegon mono is currently 600€ cheaper than the OSC version of ZWO. And around 1200€ cheaper than the Asi 2600Mono here in Germany at the moment, lol. Excited to test this bad boy tonight :D Great video as always!

Great review. I have the same older version and it's really great. They also do the ATR3CMOS10300KPA imx294 sensor with a smaller FOV and 14bit but similar price for maybe longer focal length scopes. I had a really good customer experience with Ali express rising cam. Fast delivery and responded to questions very quickly

Hi Cuiv. I also bought this camera 2 years ago and absolutely love it. Unfortunately a dodgy power supply fried it about 4 weeks ago, I was devastated . I got in touch with Eddie from RisingCam and he got me to send it back to them and they managed to fix it for the grand price of 55USD!!! It's winging its way back to me as I write this. What fantastic customer service, I will definitely be buying from them again. I am in the UK so thought buying from a company in China might be a bit of a punt, very happy I went ahead with this purchase 😁

I have the original OSC Rising Cam the same as you, and in this video and a recent previous video, you mention firmware upgrades - I’ve had mine for over a year now, is the new firmware just for the updated camera, or is it something you’d recommend for the original too? Hi Cuiv, quick question, hope you can give me some pointers... I just got the mono version of the RisingCam IMX571 and I'm wondering what the best settings for gain would be... High Gain mode on? Hi Cuiv! I just boght an omegon vetec 571c, new model, that's basically the same camera you got. I could try it yesterday evening but had a "little" problem with backfocus... The camera has the same adapter/tilter than yours (but no other adapters) but it seems to me this new sistem is ADDING 5mm to the original 17,5, since I couldn't even reach proper focus on my newton (with the same optical train I used with my old QHY294C, that has 17,5mm BF). Removing a 5mm spacer I could reach focus and had good stars (except fore a little tilt) till the corner at a distance that should be, taking 17,5mm for good, 52mm total... 🤔 Also, my camera has a mark printed on the body that shows the position of the sensor. The distance between the mark and the end of the outwr ring is 17,5+5mm... So my question is: Have you tested the real backfocus of your new cam? That would explain also the slightly increase on camera leght, I presume... (contacted Omegon assistance, they say the real BF is still 17,5, maybe the mark is misplaced and they can't explain the focus issue...)
@CuivTheLazyGeek
