Hi Kieran. This is lovely to hear how you feel, my daughter is 4 and currently waiting a diganogsis. I never understood autism, intill I was told my daughter is showing signs. Then once I started researching more, I started to understand. But still I don't understand from my daughter's perspective. So this is lovely to watch. It's still early days for us. But similar to my daughter she doesn't like loud noises, shouting etc she TICs alot at the moment and I feel like you she doesn't fit in much with other friends. She struggles if there is more than 1 child. I think luckily now the world we are living and thanks to people like yourself, helping us understand it more, autism is much more understood and known about. With my daughter, he have alot of repetition with words and the same conversations over and over again, saftey is a big issue we face. My daughter doesn't understand road safety so I have to constantly be on my toes and have eyes in the back of my head. She is very hyper and is constant all day everyday. She finds it hard to sit still, for example eating dinner she is just constantly fidgeting sitting on her bum then her knees, then swaying/rocking. I find some mainstream schools don't have enough knowledge or time to deal with children who have autism. And it's made so hard for parents to get a diagnosis and EHC plan meaning some children are left struggling throughout their school life when potentially if they had the learning adaptations they need they can thrive. However my daughter is the most loyal loving human who just cares so much about other people and she loves seeing family she loves giving lots of cuddles, her memory is super good. And she loves artwork. Good luck with your driving! And I hope you find the one next year. Onwards and upwards. You've got this 💪

I think autism should be taught in school to help other children learn it's ok to be different and help them understand how some other children may act differently.

Hi, you may not recognise who I am from my channel, but we have crossed paths at school many years ago. Though we were far from friends, this video really has moved me. Good on you for coming out from the heart about all of this, which I never realised was the case back when you saw me in the flesh. I really can't blame you for having such a hard time at that school; tbh it wasn't run very well and they never really helped anyone to realise their potential. Last year I graduated from university, which would have been nothing more than an outlandish dream had I not left that place a few years before hitting GCSE-age. Also, I'm so sorry to hear that you've struggled in terms on mental health from all these lockdowns. You're far from alone there. Been on a hefty dose of meds for depression and anxiety for the last couple of years, which have really helped (as well as there finally being a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to restrictions here). I really do wish you all the best from here on out. Take care!
