You guys are amazing! I'm especially impressed by your lady bass player. I know that takes a toll on the fingers slapping that bass. Our bass player plays rugby but still tapes up his finger for such an assault. Wow. Keep it up guys. Great tone and amazing musical chemistry!

Great cover of Little Walter's classic. I'd be lying if I hadn't hoped it would be done in a "rave up" rockabilly version instead. Try it and see how that sounds. :)
@TheSwampShakers3 жыл бұрын
Thank You for the suggestion. :)
@charlesguzelli55893 жыл бұрын
@@TheSwampShakers You're welcome. You all killed it as a straight up blues, which tells me as players you're not one dimensional and have blues chops... I heard in my head what it would sound like as a rave up.

Great! My only criticism is that the video cuts on the 1 every four beats. It get's distracting.

@@TheSwampShakers Hey glad to put in my two cents. I have the unfortunate combination of being a musician AND I went to film school - so I’m quick to criticize all forms of art 😜. But the truth is, as the viewer, the eye never gets a chance to settle on any one subject. You guys have so much to look at, we need the chance to linger a bit. There’s a natural rhythm to the way people look around an image. And that’s not nearly as structured as the literal rhythm in the song. There are certain elements that demand greater attention like a solo, unique visual or certain lyrics. I really like the way the guys over at Bopflix shoot their videos (not so much the new outdoor stuff they’re doing). They have a great natural flow. It’s handheld and usually in one take well choreographed. But even if that specific style isn’t the way you want to go, they still focus on various elements as the song progresses: lead singer mostly with band behind, solos as they come up, backing vocals shown as needed. Not too long on anything but don’t pull away too fast either. Still you guys have great stuff!
