Man you are so attentive and notice everything to the smallest details! So cool. I hope to collect one day, but I want a direct link the money (EG. I was there, in the notes country.) I have never seen a STAR that I know of or much less payed attention to the serial numbers at all!! ( Except I do have $20 in $2 bills, with sequential serials though but this is easily obtainable at a bank). I have learned a little today, thanks for sharing.

GREAT COLLECTION, for Thai baht, both the two of the king portrait in 2 different 1000 baht are the same king, king Fumifon, their current king, as he gets older, the portrait also gets old. that is it.

I think they didn't accept the $100 bill because it's an old issue. Nowhere I have been in South East Asia they accepted the old issue. I guess they are too afraid to get scammed with fakes

My fellow friend I saw your American one dollar and 20 dollar note and I knows something that will interesting to you they have a small * in the end of serial Get what people all around the world have very interested in those American bank note with the * in the serial the value for example between 2 to 5 dollar depending the condition an UNC can be collected paid $ 10.00 for the $1.00 if is VG to F $2.00 to F $3.00 so the $ 20.00 you have has also the * in the end of Serial and I saw are in very good condition so may be you having $ 30.00 to $ 45.00 each bill So keeping those star * Okay until you founding more information about it. the red and blue seals are issued as direct obligations of the US. The US government issued them as money. The green seals are issued by a banking system, not issued by US government.

The reason why Indonesian money changer wont accept old and dirty bills : money changers here mostly change crisp money. We give new and crisp money for new and crisp money. Also they dont accept old notes because newer notes have better security and the older notes is easier to fake with
