If spine is too stiff then lower spring tension in the plunger. If bottomed out then try lighter spring. It helps correct spine some but I like to adjust for spine with tip weight and/or draw weight.

Stay trad... Very few of us around here. Club had a shoot this weekend.. I went to watch since it was Barebow/Olympic /compound.... The barebow people tried to get me to enter but I said.. How about y'all taking everything off the bow and then we can talk.. No rest.. No plunger.. No weight... No string walking.. I got No takers...a few more weeks until maybe it gets warm Enough for 3D... Keep having fun with the "struggle sticks"!

Why do they have to take it off? I can shoot close to their scores without it all.
@jscottstockton8 ай бұрын
Yes I can get "close" and but not usually.... And at a $50 entry fee I wanted the playing field level.
@3DArchery8 ай бұрын
@@jscottstockton I fully understand that. The hard part is figuring out where to draw the line. No matter where you draw it, someone will not be happy.

You got thay right... So I just stick with my 3d buddies that shoot trad or Selfbow.. I really enjoyed your video of the 3d course you built... Love that type of course.

The female archery was using an elevated rest and no plunger and look like she was shooting three under. Your bow looks like its 66" AMO. I took at college in the mid 70"s. I used my Bear Tigercat and used the shelf rest and even at that time I was not well received using my own gear. Instructor would get miffed because I would be using paper plates as my target. One time I was advised that I would have to keep score so I brought to class yellow, red, blue and black paper plates.

Ha ....I have had exactly the same journey in the last couple of Months Greg . Our Club Winter shoots are Monthly at 25 yards. I thought that this Winter I would try using a Recurve Barebow for the first time .....how hard could it be right ! Answer ...very hard and very frustrating. At 10 & 15 yards pretty much point on (I'm an Instinctive Archer) at 20 & 25 yards my arrows were dropping 12"-14" ?? After much time setting up and re- testing without improvement I have come to the conclusion that the Recurve Barebow isn't suited to Instinctive Archery at 25yds ....too much aim over . I'm going back to my Ragim AFB's for both indoor and 3D . Thanks for posting your Barebow journey Greg ......anyone want a brand new Barebow lol (joke )

Respectfully, try a finger sling so you allow the bow to fire without torqing and try a better follow through , instead of your hand dropping every shot paint your face and end with your hand touching your shoulder .

I posted the correct way to release without a sling, check it out if ya want. I'm only three months into being an archer.

My archery coach would have flipped out watching that young lady barebow catch her bow with each shot. WWJWS ...... wonder what Joel would say.

You would love to shoot with her, she was cracking jokes on the line, we had an absolute blast.

Tune your arrows so you don't have to aim off. Get the right equipment.....grip, arrows, a sling either wrist or finger.
@3DArchery8 ай бұрын
Never thought of that! I have a good grip and I use a finger sling. Not going to waste money on buying new arrows if these would work. Gear by the way doesn’t make you shoot better and this video proves it.
