It's not just a single building; the entire city of Kraków has highly mineralized tap water except for the southern districts that are lucky to have access to the soft water supplied by the Rudawa River.
@MrKony98
@MrKony98 2 ай бұрын
I would even say that most of Poland has highly mineralized water except the coast
@allice1643
@allice1643 Ай бұрын
Nope, not whole Kraków. There are few different sources of water so it really depends on the part of the city you're in. I lived in 5 different ones and it varies quite a lot. Best/softest water comes from Dobczyce zalew Raba, which supplies Podgórze, Borek, Prokocim and Swoszowice.
@allice1643
@allice1643 Ай бұрын
@@MrKony98also depends on source of water so it varies a lot, but yep mostly it qualifies as medium hard. Though I must say, as much as I traveled through Poland I've never encountered really hard water like in France or Uk

Man if I could be a freelancer for US and live in Poland, this would be awesome
@rrolf71
@rrolf71 2 ай бұрын
I think it's doable. You may research your options and requirements as a foreigner, but I'm a Polish freelancer doing almost 100% of my business with American and Western European companies. As long as your deliveries are electronic, the world's a village.

That would be really good idea because Poland is much cheaper than US (also than most European countries)

@@allice1643 OP want to work for US and live in Poland - that's why I said (written) that. I assumed he would earn dollars and considering the fact that the Polish minimum wage is ~$850 net he wouldn't have to earn a lot to live quite comfortably here ;)

@@WheresWes Same, I live in Kraków and I've never heard of it. Seems really fun. Water depends on which part of the city u live in. If you ever change apartments check water sources. Softest one is in Mistrzejowice, Bieńczyce and around Podgórze (their water source is Raba in Dobczyce).

beautiful apartment. what about polish language? i guess it's very hard to understand slavic languages. i am [don't want to say where i came from] guy who 6 year live in czech republic. for me polish language it's some kind of hell. bez urazy, moi polscy bracia. I was in krakow, very beautiful city. If you will go to czech republic, don't waste you time in prague center. this is peace of shit for german tourists, it's not event 1% of czech spirit

The first hurdle - spelling and pronunciation - is scary but surprisingly easy to overcome. (I know, I taught basics to some Western European friends.) You need to learn different rules and train your ear and tongue for different sounds, especially sibilant consonants, but the rules are rather simple and very strict. No spelling bee contests in Poland since spelling/pronunciation is very consistent! The second hurdle of Slavic languages, more serious, is grammar, surprisingly similar to ancient Latin with a lot of inflections of all kinds.

Jak to możliwe? Przecież $600 to jest jakieś 2400 zł. Za takie mieszkanie w Krakowie taki miesięczny koszt? Tanio jak nie wiem a taki standard..
@pszemusz
@pszemusz 2 ай бұрын
@misimik

Myślę, że to jest nowa inwestycja i jak się zapełni to ceny zaczną rosnąć wyprzedzając rynek. Na razie 2.400 wygląda nieźle.

Fun fact, Krakow is on the more expensive side of Polish towns. In Bydgoszcz, I rent 2 bedroom apartment for around ~$480, although building is from 2005 so not so modern, it is like 5 minutes from the city center. If you have western income it is highly recommended to live somewhere in Poland (except Warsaw 😅)
