Thanks! :) Small dogs live longer. I'm guessing that the lifespan for a dachshund is 12-14 years. She will be 13 in February. My grandparents had a Doberman Pinscher who lived to be 14 despite being a bigger dog.

What a treasure! It breaks my heart knowing she has likely passed on after this many years. My 16yo Chihuahua recently passed and I have a black & tan weenie on the way. I hope you have another fur baby along with all of her memories!!

Hi there I read in comments your pup had passed. I would have also assumed due to age. I rarely had 1 get past 14 :( just lost My 13 year old last month. I made him a tribute video made me feel better. It’s so hard to get over. Sorry for your loss.

Congrats on your new pet! :) My parents bought Winnie in 2004 for $1000 (overpriced). Unfortunately, she passed away about a year and a half ago. We bought a new dachshund, Daisy, for $800.
