You're one of very few youtubers that I watch as my time is very limited with small children, thanks to your sense of humour and franchise. I will continue to watch even though my resolution is to buy less as I have lots of make up that I didn't even open... and to continue project pans as every year. I always put lots of items on my list so that I won't get bored and as soon as I see the pan I am so happy that I am drawn to finishing it.. and even if I don't finish some products from my list, they're reported for the next year. This year I have bought some HG items (INAN, Rare beauty bronzer stick) and I want to use them regularly. I did manage to resist to Black Friday offers which is very satisfying. I just looked at the make up I'd bought last year and realised that most of it is not even open as I was trying to use other items first... I guess I can hold to next year's BF sales 😉

I found that Ogden’s eye can sometimes have palettes that are more everyday and wearable. I only have one palette but I really enjoy it. It was a limited edition collaboration. My resolution for 2025 is to purchase no more blush and limit the eye products. I want to use what I have and love.

You're absolutely right, it's amazing. And in tones they really cater to her warmth i imagine. I'm about to post side-by-side of the two deepest 4 and 5 bc on my light complexion/preference these shades are more neutral and these silky babies apply lightly if necessary even though greatly pigmented.

Once you actually just stick by certain products it's easier to pan than it seems. I pan plenty glosses and balms, lip masks. Also powders, bronzer, blush and primers are doable. Definitely also a tinted moisturiser! I pan at least one every year while still using a lot of other foundations too 😊

Getting ahead of things and finding a new holy grail foundation before the TF is discontinued/reformulated is so smart! But panning FIVE PRODUCTS sounds really hard!! It seems that, for me, the only products I am ever able to pan are Charlotte Tilbury’s cream bronzer in fair and her pressed powder in fair and Natasha Denona’s eyeshadows. Other than those it’s hopeless.

@ I have panned a Laura Mercier under eye corrector (which is very small) but it took 2 years of basically daily use! I’ve also panned a mini of the WA Contour stick in Biscuit but it took a little more than a year and a half and I used it every time I did my makeup. I am now working on the tiny Elf contour squeeze tube thing that’s a dupe for the Charlotte but I’ve had it for 8 months. Oh I have panned numerous Pat under eye powders over the years, but it takes a long time! You just have to use products so often to pan them, even though it seems like they will go fast!!

Very good, thoughtful resolutions, Charlotte! I am not sure about the Indy brand resolution for the reason you stated. Few people are into Indy brands plus they can be expensive with the shipping. Impressed that you conquered quite a few of your 2024 resolutions. My plan for 2025 is to buy a LOT less makeup and skincare. I have spent the last year trying a variety of products and have whittled down the ones I liked the best. I plan to stick with those and just purchase refills. I thank you for a year of great content on your channel. You are my favorite.

A no-buy with rules is what i'm most excited about! I'll round up my collection, categorize/cataloguize (is this English?) and off we go to curating my monthly stash. I'm honestly excited bc chasing everything new made me forget the coolest stuff and even worse: forced me to trying things, i wasn't in the mood for/didn't match the seasonal vibe! Thing with project pan is: i don't even want to pan it if i love it. But foundations, lipsticks and cream products i really need to priorize. Especially oil-based.

Very thoughtful resolutions charlotte! A book! Thats such a great one! You are a great storyteller. Ok don’t come for me. I know the price is ludicrous but I love the Hermes bronzer. I have not used another powder bronzer since I got it. It is so smooth and not sparkly or matte. It has this subtle luminosity that I can’t describe. I have dry skin and really can’t use a lot of powder products because they dry out my skin. This does not. But really I have so many bronzers I don’t even use anymore that I wasted so much money on. This was totally worth it.

I love your makeup style and your skill with eyeshadow. So it would be great to see some content on how to approach indie makeup. I discovered this year that I love adding a bit of intense sparkly or shiny to my neutral to cool makeup style. I’ve realized with indie makeup it’s not just color that’s intimidating but formula as well. What’s smooth vs gritty, what can be sheered or smoothed out, what to avoid because shadows with large particles won’t work on my drier eyelids. What companies don’t use glitter in their formula. But adding a multi chrome to neutral shimmers and mattes can create a wonderful watercolor effect. I’ve been using SG pallets for years, thanks to Mel T, and love their shimmers. I just ordered the cold moon pallet from Ensley Rain and some singles from Devinah during BF sale so I’m excited to embrace something new in my beauty routine.

Beauty resolutions 🤔 interesting. Good idea! Love the bronzer and perfume resolutions! I feel the same way. Love bronzer I’m not to picky outside of tones. I prefer neutral less red unless done right ie Gucci. But I have no holy grail. I fancy the NARs and CT powder bronzers. I also have been slowing down on purchasing powder. IDK I guess for me it’s intentional shopping, buying less, using up with I have, maybe refine my collection a bit. Although I love my collection getting rid of products I like but love to the point I rarely reach for (that’s going to hurt)

For the caramel perfumes - not sure it is quite caramel, but Commodity Milk Bold is warm and a bit of burnt caramel and marshmallow to me. It is a bit sweet, but that isn’t what first hits me about it. It is a bit more woody. You can get it at some of the Sephoras in the UK, too.

I don’t know if they are available to ship to the uk but I would really recommend you perfumes form the niche perfume shop Jovoy in Paris. They have all the niche luxury brands but what’s really interesting is their own line of perfumes ! It’s very fairly priced compared to the other ones they stock and the quality is beyond all my other regular perfumes. I’m really addicted to Fire at Will, it’s giving me Ariana Grande Cloud if it was a niche perfume (still quite different, just reminds me of it) with a touch of Dior hypnotic poison. The lasting power is out of this world and I’ve gotten so many compliments. They also have another slightly spicier one, Remember me I believe the name is, which I really think you would love. And congrats on the book!

Have you ever consider trying a product that’s not necessarily a bronzer and using it as a bronzer? I ask because when I used a deeper finishing powder, it was the perfect bronzer. I found a baked finishing powder from a brand that was actually discontinued, but it was the perfect sheer wash and slightly glowy warmth that my skin needed to look healthier. It was the honest beauty luminizing powder in their deepest shape. I am not specifically trying to suggest that particular brand. But in general, I have really appreciated using a much deeper finishing powder to give me the perfect bronzed application. Although I love other bronzers, there is just something very special about the way a much deeper finishing powder does the job. I hope this is helpful.

Oh and regarding the skincare. I agree that if you don’t like it, you should not keep using it. Because usually the reason we don’t like it is because of what it’s doing to our skin. I hate to waste the products also, so I use them on my body or hands. Because I’m more particular about what goes on my face than my hands. I agree you should review only things you know you will use. My resolution is to just buy less makeup, especially cream or liquid blushes. I have way way too many. And no more eyeshadows. I have a makeup love problem haha. Good thing I have 5 nieces I declutter to often.

Nice goals! The old ones as well as the new ones. I try to decide on doable resolutions to avoid too much frustration. It helps achieving them. 😅 For 2025 my beauty related ones are: 1) not more than 4 new eye shadow palettes in 2025 (basically one for each season), because I have waaaay too many 2) build myself a reliable skin care routine for morning and evening 3) do something with my waist-length grey hair (but: no hair dye, no short cuts, no perms allowed) plus find good silicone- free hair care More I don’t have yet. I’m already scared. 😂

Fraghead here - try a perfume with immortale to satisfy your caramel needs. It’s more of a herbally, warm, maple syrup vibe but that prevents it from being to cloying if in the right formulation.

I absolutely love indie brands, but a lot are more colourful. What i can do is recommen good formulas so if they release a palette that more up your street then you could give them a go, so some fantastic formulas- Blend Bunny, Unearthly cosmetics, Fantasy cosmetica, Cosmic beauty (UK based), Gourmade girls, Bella beaute bar 😊
