Being a doctor I am proud that I wanted to do private practice so left my govt job under NRHM longtime ago then only started my Diagnostic set up and many doctors are also now changing the mindset and making a firm choice between government service and private practice and I hope your video encourage the medical fraternity to not forget our calling to be healers and to be of service of the society

couldn't be more accurate recently my father was diagnosed with stones in his bladder so we ask the doctors at oking hospital whether there was other options besides the operations (the operation would have cost around 80 k in oking) but they said there was no option so we instead of doing the operation decided to go to Shillong were the doctors gave some medicines for around 1k and told him to eat it saying the stone will shrink and he will able to get them out through pee so we follow their advice and after a month we went back to oking hospital for check up and lol and behold there was no stone anymore my advice to my naga people never trust Naga doctors 90% is only working for money

My sis was bedridden from severe gastric problem for many years but now she is cure ..when she was taking treatment from oking ,they docs could not diagnose n told us she was all well but suffer psycho problem we were really hurt ..my sis know she hav gastric problm ,we took her to delhi for treatment , she was diagnose wit gastric problem..my friend was also mis diagnose n removed her appendix ..

Both my parents are government doctors and it is almost 20 years of their commitment to this occupation, and yes, as govt specialists, they WILL get posted in outstation areas and it is a necessity to serve in outstation(backward) areas for atleast 5 years. They have served deligently and earned without the cause of any outside business as shown above. But what is exhibited in the video is not the only issue out there. There are also govt doctors who, through political connections, forge their post in accessible districts like dimapur, kma, mkg, etc while many other doctors who are true to their workplace assignment remain in outstations for a prolonged time. It is specially this category of doctors who forge their placement post and even commit what the above video has intended. None of what I've said should send out any offence to those medical pratitioners who are deligent to themselves as well as to the society. In fact only respect and honor to the rest true handful of doctors who have done their good job.

I was diagnosed with malaria in a govt hospital (remote area). Took the medicine got worse. Came to kohima, went to 2-3 hospital & 1 clinic. Clinic wala daignosed me with typhoid. Took the medicine got worse. With the advice of family's friend, ran to Dimapur. Went to 2 hospital & 1clinic, they couldn't daignose anything so they referred me to psychiatrist. Alas, went to AIIMS Delhi, they found out that I was wrongly medicated. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone.

Same thing happened to me in 2012. I was diagnosed with malaria, then they said its typhoid. I got worse. Finally after 5 months of hospitalization and medications found out i was wrongly medicated. The last Dr gav me a tablet for infection in my ovaries and i was cured. Hence, i have become very skeptical of Drs.

Cannot be more Accurate. Another eye opener(hopefully) by DU as always. This reminded me of my struggle for removing a small cyst from my head for which I was asked to pay 10K by a surgeon 👨‍⚕️ which I couldn’t afford then 😭 Fortunately, a CHC at my hometown did it for free. There is only one hospital in Nagaland where doctors are NOT allowed to work in other hospitals and clinics. They are also not allowed to stay outside the hospital campus and are required to stay with their families inside the campus nor get anything extra apart from their regular salaries...CIHSR Referral Hospital. Please comment and let me know if any other hospital in Nagaland has such dedicated doctors with restrictions imposed, which is actually followed..

I would like to ask a couple of questions here: who's at fault that government hospitals in towns and peripheries are ill equipped or without any minimal diagnostic equipments.. Who's at fault that nurses or other medical staff don't turn up for work..? Have u visited any peripheral govt clinic and seen the deplorable working conditions for the doctors.? A govt clinic without proper electrification or quarters for example.? Do u have any knowledge on how a hospital/clinic should run for emergency procedures.? When u or your loved ones fall ill where is your choice for receiving first line treatment.? Do u have any idea on the complexity involved in maintaining asceptic conditions to conduct even minor operations, or the complications that may arise because of infections acquired from inadequately prepped operating theatre.? These questions don't even make up for the book cover., n m sure we all know who's being made the fall guy for all these. And Yes, some doctors aren't very diligent towards the government services, but u don't go to a hospital to get cured and not contract a new illness because of poorly maintained hospitals. Also i can tell u for sure, specially in a place like nagaland where some govt clinics don't even have tables or chairs, just the empty building, we make referrals so that u patients can be given proper and better services for your ailments., not because we crave for money., Doctors are human beings too, they have wives, children and have to sort out daily problems like anyone else.. ., they have employees who need to be paid because unfortunately those employed, they have families to take care of.. Remember last uear, When u were enjoying on Christmas eve or new year's eve with your loved ones , there was a doctor out there someone who had spent half of his/her youth studying to become a doctor and yet missing out those, theres a child at home who missing his mom or dad and eagerly hoping his mom or dad make it for Christmas... We doctors make a lot of sacrifices to make sure human lives are to be given utmost possible care available. So please I'd kindly suggest refrain from making videos that will hurt sentiments of those hardworking doctors who sacrifice a lot to give their all.. "HOISHEY"

Another great episode... We respect them(doctors) because they earn it. But they misuse. Government hospitals should provide every necessary material for different kinds of patience. But Nagas, business, we have to spend extra expenditure to go to private hospitals for a test, for treatment than take back the result to govt. Hospitals for there final result/prescription.

Indeed a good lesson for those people claiming as learned, educated, civilized but don't have a heart for other humans. I have known that most of the employees doesn't wants to be posted at backward areas, to be specific, I came to learn that some Doctors have declined to work at backward area despite of the handsome salary offered n rather choose to stay at capital for some 50k. Same goes with the govt employees and even among the backward tribes.

Expecting the best when the government isn't investing much in Health sector. The video was definitely meaningful but the comments section were more of discouraging ones. Agree with the fact that the doctors are more into money. So, what about the rest? The teachers posted in remote places? By the way, how many medical aspirants and didn't qualify, and therefore throwing the tantrums at the doctors? I mean some, not everyone. Pretty sure, not many will know what they go through. And what if government provides a better facilities in remote places? Why won't they work there? Medical profession comes with an unending studies, the diseases and treatments keeps on changing. It is not an easy one so I request some people to show some respect. And with regards to private clinics, some goes beyond. Not encouraging but who doesn't want to live a better life. But definitely it is wrong, no doubt on that. Let us not forget Nagaland doesn't even have a medical College. And the medicines government provides doesn't cover every of the medicines. If only the government of Nagaland makes rules and regulations on not to open or have a part time job elsewhere and fully dedicated his/her job in that particular hospital only.. Govt hospital doctors are only in a hurry to go to their respective clinics or part time clinics.. They come by 10-11 am in the morning and leave by 12-1 pm (OPD timing) leaving patients in despair.. Some Private hospitals follow that rules and regulations and Doctors and other staffs are not allowed to indulge in other part time jobs and are made to fully dedicate their work to that particular hospital. Which makes doctors and specialist available and makes patients to easily follow up with that particular doctor.. It's a good rule but as humans not everyone will agree to it..

Private hospitals n govt hospitals should be treated equally dear doctors. How can u avoid the Govt hospital when u are paid in good amount. We understand that ur clinic provide service which are not provided in govt hospital but u should also try to uplift the govt hospital for common people. It is the common people who have become vulnerable in every aspect of life...

They won't be offended if they are not crooks as this doctor in the video. Some honest doctors exists in the USA and Europe. I respect them much so in honor of those righteous life savers, I'll not blame the whole medical community. But yes Naga doctors need to remember why they became doctors in the first place.

I'm not a Doctor neither supporting Dr but the problem in Govt Hospital is facilities, hygiene etc etc aren't always available therefore referring to pvt clinic is the only option, so why dont we fight the govt to give us better healthcare?
