Honestly Joey.... I, at first, didn’t like the idea of changing the stacked tanks to the current set up. But the way you have it and going back to old videos, I absolutely love it. Plus it just seems brighter, more energy in the tanks. And you also seems “happier” in the gallery. You are the best Joey. Keep doing you. Thanks for your videos and passion you share with us.

I vote no to moving the arowana into the 375. That fish is accustomed to a HUGE tank, and the 375 will be a MASSIVE downgrade. If you do move one out there, please remove all of those roots/stumps. The Aro will need all the swimming room they can get, but again, I vote no. Sorry, Joey...JMHO

You should set up a live feed 24 hr camera and set it to a random tank everyday or two. Then anyone can log on and watch a tank of yours as if it were in there own home.

Arowana and White clouds would be mind blowing. I just got a school of gold white clouds a few months ago, and they are awesome. Did you know that they flare just like bettas, but they don't bite each other like bettas do.

Love the Tetra tank, with the tall trees, it looks like a fantasy forest. Awesome job on this aquarium. Love all of your aquariums, but the tetra tank is my favorite. You really put a lot of work into them. Love the information you share with everyone too, and your enthusiasm also is great.

I loved this tank, especially when the discus were growing inside of it. Like you said, it was simple, but what I love most about it is the vertical logs of wood. It just looks os fascinating since the fish can swim behind it and in front o fit. So unique!

My first fish were goldfish growing up and then I went years without them. Then Zebra danios got me back into the hobby... and your tank building videos got me motivated to do more. This year, I’m going to be teaching a class once a week about tank building, design and goals and I couldn’t be more excited! (I am a high school science teacher)

The planted tank is just so mesmerizing like a beautiful dream. It has an remarkable likeness to an open birch forest, but then all the sudden a school of fish swims by, reminding you that this is a dream. The other tanks are nice, but this tank evokes an emotional response, like a scene from a gibli movie.

I think the reason that tank looks so good is because it looks like a flooded wooded area. You can imagine the violence of the flood and then the serenity after the fact. Very cool DIY. Very cool

I love watching how this room and you evolves as time goes by. What will it be in 1yr or even 5yrs form now. Try adding a dirt layer before putting in the sand. You will see 100% better plant growth.

I got into the Hobby Because of (cliche) Bettas - honestly - i loved how drapey they were. Graceful. From there i got into true aquascaping - Ive always loved the natural - creek look. As a kid i played in creeks and rivers all the time. And everything just grew from there. Starting with A betta. and now i have 3 :) plus other tanks with some insane aquascapes. :)

Ronda Farley I have three in a community tank and they r by far my favorites my biggest male named bloat, is the peace keeper in the tank and keeps everyone in line. They r so cute for ugly fish lol. But so cool!

For me the start was when I get my first tank from my dad for my 5th birthday. He had a 2 meter tank and I always wanted to help him. We went to the aqua store and he said we where going to shop for some fish and a tank he wanted extra. I had no idea when they packed that tank for him, I came back from school and he played to be mad at me for not cleaning my room. So when I got at my room to get cleaning I saw a tank, bodem material plants and all the stuff I needed to get my very first tank started. A 60cm tank all for me.

@The king of DIY If you're having issues regarding color or balance in your videos theres this awesome little feature in most editing programs called a histogram. It shows you how intense the darks and whites are as well as the intensity of red green and blue on a graph. Hope this helps!

Ive had so many favorites of your though😂 What originally got me into the aquarium hobby was a casual walk through Petco to see the cats up for adoption, and I came across what I *thought* was a dead betta fish. After a few minutes of my crying, he moved around just a little bit and I realized he was alive and needed to come home with me. I had that little guy for three years after that and he was the reason I bothered to learn about and became interested in fish keeping and aquariums. My quest for research in order to bring him back to health is how I found your channel. Thank you so, so much for teaching me about caring for my fish as well inspiring me to make my tanks as awesome and homely as possible😁

Have a similar story of how I got into the fish hobby as well. Saw this little female betta and she was the last one on the shelf. She was still a baby and her colours weren't coming through yet. She also had a bent fin so no one else wanted her. She came home with me that day and have had her for 3 years :')

No joey!! U removed the backround out of the 2000g because the asian arawanas where damaging themselves. Putting them in a smaller tank with lots of decor u will have the same issue.... i say extend the 2000g to a 4000gal tank if anything.

What got me into the hobby - when I was about 8, the first time I saw a neon tetra. To see something alive with those vibrant colours just blew my little mind. I learned how to take care of fish, got a lot of glass wool in my fingers but was hooked. 30 years later, I am still keeping fish (only ever one 80-100 liter tank) but these days wouldn't touch a neon tetras with a barge pole! I am looking to get a 450 liter tank in a few months, by far the largest ever tank I have ever had and plan on putting in a shoal of about 40 silver tip tetras, 40 cardinals, some pearl gourami once the tetras put on some size, a dozen neon rainbow fish, a dozen chain loaches and a dozen corydoras. That is my plan at least since I like the idea of lots of small fish rather than a few large fish. So yeah, I definitely pay close attention to the tanks where you keep small fish like the barb tank and the cardinal tank and try to learn as much as I can.

I was watching an old Japanese guy that owns a fish store. He put bottles into the fish tank, and he would fill the bottles with CO2. They would float while full of CO2, and sink as it slowly escaped the bottle. It was pretty genius. Something a little cooler looking than a bottle could be used, but that was really smart.

For me it was shrimp, a dear friend of mine bred all kinds of colourful shrimp for a while and I just thought they were just so facinating (and cute!) That's when I decided I wanted an aquarium with fancy shrimp at some point. A year ago said friend unexpectedly passed away and a friend of both of us had just picked up a second-hand aquarium for her.. asked me if I wanted it. That's how I ended up finally getting shrimp!

What got me in the hobby is I already liked marine animals. And my room has always had a dark/punk/solitude kinda theme with black lights and all. When I saw the glow danios in Petco, I said I was gonna save up and get a little 5 gallon tank and keep some cuz I’d fit perfectly in my room. I started with one Glo danio and 6 neons. I care about the lives of fish. As I kept learning about them and learning how to take care of them, I would try my best to adjust so they live better. Then I just kept upgrading the tanks and kept getting more fish. Now I have 4 tanks in my room with glo danios, neons, green neons, otocinclus, white clouds, gold white clouds, panda cories, common goldfish, and a betta. All living swell and have plants growing. I lowkey think I’m crazy, but I love it lol. As you can see I love smaller fish in planted tanks. All your tanks look amazing and I love them, but that’s simple planted tank is deff my favorite cuz of my interest. Lastly, I am bias towards white clouds, so if you wanna do the red arowana with the white clouds, that’d look so beautiful to me. In a planted tank too, even better.

I was raised into the hobby so there never was a specific tank that made me get into it. Grew up with a huge tank of african ciclids in the living room and everyone in the household were divers. Always been into community tanks of the biotope variety but I've now shifted over to mainly amazon. I don't like the idea of the arrowana in that tank.

my first fish were guppies colorful~ tiny~ beautiful~ fun to watch fish roommates they lived in a 10 gallon in my room i was 3 and managed to take them all out of the tank put each one in tiny tea cups put them all in my wagon and took my pets for a walk outside amazingly they all survived i lived through being yelled at and have had fish tanks ever since unfortunately i have not successfully kept plants in any tank i've owned purple thumbs i guess i will live vicariously through your beautiful planted tanks oh yes put your huge boy in there with tons of tiny friends that will keep him happy alive and safe

If you put the arowana in the 375, rummynose tetras might work better than whiteclouds. Rummynose tetras probably school the tightest out of any freshwater aquarium fish, much better than whiteclouds, and the red noses would really compliment the blood red arowana

My first fish was cardinal tetras and rummynose tetras. Had a fully planted tank with all kinds of tetras. Was such a nice tank. Thinking about making a 6 ft by 2ft by 2ft fully planted aquarium with hundreds of different tetras.

i had followed u, jenny and rachel for a while before i consittered getting a tank of my own. wnted to be sure it was something i wanted and not just a fab for me. i loooove aquascapeing. im pretty imtemited by it. but i love it. my fist fish was shrimps and snails. i feel so hard for the shrimps. then i got some guppies and some kuhlies. the gyppies was pure heartbrake. mollies where fun, but dident work in the tank. then i got white clouds minnows, they r great and pretty fun. i housed a pair of german rams for a while, i love them alot, i have to have a tank with them eventualy. now i have blue neon tetras (love) and a female betta. and im pretty happy with it. is it weird that i feel like crying from happyness sometimes?? but what got me to get a tank....the fish, the aquascaping the creativity of it. i love the planted tank, i love all the others too. but i think its difficult to name one as a fav. cause we have history with all of them. but i must say out of all the tanks. im mostly partial to the shelldvalers.

The first tank I ever saw was a boat wreck with live moss growing all over it with a rocks around the wreck looked so natural so that's why I've got a large tank with a submarine wreck in it plus also 3 other tanks as ur such a inspiration to us all. I like aquariums with _interesting_ fish. Which typically is various cichlids and sometimes rare and unique fish. In your gallery i like the tanganyika tanks the most. Would love Altum angels in the grass aquarium by the way, it's my favorite fish.

Humm why not do the planted tank as a large version of a home aquarium. Something like a family would do. Bring your kids out to the pet store and let them chose fish. Maybe once a week (within reason) and get a nice mix, maybe a pair here or a school there. Something like a normal home aquarium would be just on a bigger scale. So like if they like grouamis you get the pair they like and next week if you want per say rose line sharks boom school of them.

arowana with white cloud as feeders, love the idea. predatory fish will eat pray at night when visibility is low. had tetras with 1.5 inch archers. was fine for few days until i was like where they go when nothing happens during the day. it will be very educational.
