I started watching your videos when I was pretty young and am just getting back into reading after a very long hiatus 😅. I remembered watching your videos and decided to come back and see if you’re still making them, and am so glad to see you are!! It feels so cozy to sit and watch your videos and a it’s a great way to find new books and now I can’t wait to get started reading again 😁

Same here! I used to follow Sanna then stopped. Now 2 kids later I've just gotten back into reading lots and saw her on Jen Campbell's vlog and rediscovered her!

So happy you read Moon of the Crusted Snow! Because I'm in Canada, I'm always bombarded by Canadian books, and it's fun when the good ones reach a wider audience internationally 😄

I've seen so many people talk about it over the years and am really glad I finally got to it :D

Damn I really need to start reading again, I fell off the train once I started a job away from home...I really miss it.

Have only read The Vegetarian, In the Dream House, and The Moon of the Crusted Snow, but all of them were amazing. Great list.

So glad to see Canada represented on the list and Waubgeshig Rice is fantastic. The sequel is coming out soon. Luster is on my TBR and The Vegetarian has been on my radar for a while. 🙂💙

Will definitely be picking up that sequel!

Loved Reputation - it was so fun and had that Austen-esque biting humour whilst still being it's own thing

Loved the video. I read Luster last year and liked it too.

I recently listened to Binti on audio so I totally need to listen to more! Sounds so good!

I was just part of a book club for Binti, and it reminded me that I've got to read the rest of the series. Hope you enjoy!

I loved seeing your favourite reads! I'm hoping I'll get to Reputation at the end of this semester as a treat. lgbt+ gothic also sounds like a great genre.

Ahhh Sanne if you liked In The Dream House and Salt Slow I really recommend The Dangers of Smoking in Bed by Mariana Enriquez - a translated collection from Argentinian that’s really strong female horror , and links it with the generational horror of the dictatorship and colonialism! And also maybe Hurricane Season by Fernanda Melchor which is also translated fiction that is similar too (although I recommend checking triggers for both)

I loved The Fifth Season but unfortunately didn't really enjoy the Obelisk Gate and am now struggling a bit to get through The Stone Sky. Will be interested to hear your thoughts, I hope you get more out of them!
