“Confluence by Lloyd Barnes” Confluence means 2 or more things coming together. The word has “con” in it and “fluence” which is close to influence. The play on words plus the true meaning I think makes a great name for this trick! All the best!

I’m new to your channel and I can’t say enough positive things about what you do. The amount of detail when explaining not only how you make a gimmick, but also how to present the trick plus alternatives is outstanding. Watching your channel really makes me want to start doing magic again. As I’m new here, I didn’t actually know about the apps which just goes to show that not only laypeople can be fooled. I like the name “Out of Nothing” by Lloyd Barnes. Both in that the spectator thinks of a random card, and then said card is revealed among cards with nothing on them, I like the word nothing in the name. Great trick and thanks for sharing.

What would be great, is if you could load “the card” to the bottom of the deck and Maxim has a mode for this, where it knows that when you tell it the marked card on top, your X card is now inserted “above” that card. Ie the stacked deck of 51 is now automatically updated temporarily to become a stacked deck of 52 including the X card/Dex card.

Every time I think you’ll slow down and stop putting out banger content, tricks,ideas, etc… you never cease to amaze us Lloyd! I love the idea of combining your apps with Dex and a marked/stacked blank deck. For a second I thought you used Craig Petty’s Quantum deck but this is absolutely brilliant. I agree with people saying incorporating Lux into it would be the Cherry on top for sure but not sure if that would make things too complicated or convoluted. Also the name of this trick should be any of these options(they all mean combination, medley or pieces working together or bewilderment of some kind): Amalgamation, Farrago, Mélange, Muddle, Disarray, Quandry, or Perplexity. I don’t even care about winning the competition I just love seeing the behind the scenes of your work and learning more about magic theory and the industry as a whole. O.C.A.A.N, Magnito, The Barnes Effect, and I do like the word Dexter so maybe combining all those into something? Maximum DeXito O.C.A.A.N and if you incorporated Lux into it then something to the effect of DeXLux Magnito O.C.A.A.N or if you wanted it all as an abbreviation then D.M.Ocaan (kind of like DMT which I feel like this trick sort of gives that feeling😅)

I have an idea for this miracle illusion (not trick, illusion. Because this my friends is something that you can play how big you want + slay an audience on stage.
