@@SteveHedgesPhotography Just had a very similar encounter at Minsmere early on Saturday morning. Unfavourable conditions too, but they put on a show briefly in between the gusts of wind & were 12-15ft in front of us at the Island Mere hide 👌🙏

@@SteveHedgesPhotography I went to a place in North Lincolnshire yesterday called Alkborough Flats. There were loads of bearded tits I could hear them everywhere. But the reed bed is vast - acres and acres of it - literally as far as the eye can see. So it didn’t lend itself to photograph them very well. It’s a great place for waders in flight coming off the Humber though. Worth a visit if you’re ever in the area. Lakenheath Fen and another place in Essex is next on my list.
@SteveHedgesPhotography3 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott, yes they can be do hard to locate in such vast areas of reed beds. Cracking little birds we you do get a sighting though. Let me know when you plan to visit Essex, we could meet up if you're interested. All the best, Steve.

Great video Steve it was a pleasure to meet you and share this amazing experience with the Bearded Tit, an encounter like no other ! It is unusual to have a wildlife subject (well 20-30) in your camera viewfinder for nearly 2 hours ! An awesome display and real privilege to work with you on this one Steve ! My video is part 3 of my series of East Anglian adventures so it will not be available until the 6th of February according to my schedule ! If it's half as good as this one I will be satisfied ! So cheers mate and we will get the Bittern next time ! Maybe !! 👍😍🤔

Warning: misery-guts whinge follows. 😯 For various reasons I'm going through a distinctly fallow period at the moment as far as getting any decent nature photos or footage is concerned so, great though this video is, it has only succeeded in darkening my mood a little further. Oh well, the only way is up, eh? Well done Steve & Mark on some great photos and footage.
