I tried to capture a day in the life of a log truck driver. This was my first day trucking in a long time.

Busy day of trucking! Never seen that auto loader swing before, pretty neat.

A local guy makes the kit. I installed them on our three loaders. They are very very handy and make it safer!

That swing from the cab is pretty cool! I’m curious how it works is there a servo that operates the swing peddle?
@davidhaley70535 жыл бұрын
Not sure of the technical terms but it's an electrical coil activated plunger that is hooked to the swing control linkage via a slack cable.
@06lbzduramax35005 жыл бұрын
That’s cool definitely saves some climbing!

Did you actually unload the 'dozer, set it away pushing, run back to the cab and drive the truck then run back to the 'dozer and turn it off? if so I am deeply impressed with the creativity and lack of tedious hazard evaluation assessments. Very nice.

I don't recommend doing that...

Looks like you getting a few loads hauled in if mother nature would be nice. Must be hauling to grand Rapids just my guess is the mill in marcel still running or has it closed down. Yeah the gauges are just a guessing game but once you get them figured out there nice to have we use them on the hopper bottoms here for grain. Keep up the great videos
@davidhaley70535 жыл бұрын
Yes going to Rapids. The mill in Marcell closed many years ago. The gauges are quite helpful if I would just trust them. The wood was way lighter than I thought!
@kennymysak20795 жыл бұрын
@@davidhaley7053 its been years since I been up that way. The soft ground will mess with the gauges to and then find out oh boy what happened
@davidhaley70535 жыл бұрын
@@kennymysak2079 uneven ground will throw the gauges off for you too!!!

Are these trails,tracks roads maintained by someone ? I saw the clip where you took things and made it better since you have the equipment, is there no source of gravel or stone that could be used to improve the quality of these "roads" for everyone at little or no cost of the stone and would only be the transportation and spreading?
@davidhaley70535 жыл бұрын
County and State are responsible for the road...
