Dude, burnout is real. Just like with any growth-focused activity, rest and recovery mode are when the gains checks that you wrote in active mode get cashed. Taking care of yourself = more and better Go for all of us.

Thank you for the video! Relax and take as many breaks as you need!

You won't be losing us if you take a break.

Thanks, Dwyrin, I am glad you found out about yourself. I probably met about 50 guys in your situation over the years. One was my accountant, who had to spend 1.5 months in hospital. It is sooooo difficult to stop and take a step back. I am glad you did. Please take a one-month vacation in a sunny place and relax on a beach somewhere. You are teaching us so well, but who is teaching YOU?! Maybe you need to take a week with a pro who can straighten out your GO a bit? Good luck and take care.

Dwyrin, hang out at the beach or whatever nature takes you out of your head. You'll come back to the game re-energized. Thanks for your games!

I'm glad you're taking a break to take care of yourself. I've improved a lot thanks to you and I'm in your Patreon and bought both of your books. What I mean is that I will keep supporting you in any form.

Good that you're looking out for yourself, always a good decision to take a break when you need one.

I did wonder about it. Even only watching the videos, it did seem like an insane schedule

Excellent that you're checking in with how things are going - take care of yourself!

Indeed take care Dwyrin. I also reached a point in my turbo-charged life where the tank was empty. It's wise of you to step back a little rather than burning out like some of us have apparently done.

Nothing to apologize for. You always tell us, but now it is our turn. Take care buddy.

Hey Dwyrin, I really love your videos and appreciate the go lessons you share here on KZbin. I totally understand wanting to reduce your streaming frequency and its associated stress. Please take care of yourself. I appreciate what I have learned here and your contributions to the go scene. I hope you'll give yourself some time to rest and avoid the burnout. As a suggestion for go video content, I think I wouldn't mind watching you murder some low dans (e.g., 1-4D). Although I know you generally prefer not to kill groups in your basics series and when playing lower-ranked opponents, maybe that would be something you could do without too much mental strain. As a strong SDK, I think I am currently struggling the most in trying to take advantage of my opponents weaknesses and follow through. In any case, take it slow for a while and I will continue to watch whatever you have to share.

As someone that recently burned out severely, definitely take time away. Physical symptoms can get way worse than just being frustrated and irritable

Burnout is a serious thing and must not be ignored. I had been there, so I know what that is about (got stuck at 2k, now just enjoying watching go, not playing actively any more)

When you want a player with a massive dead group to resign, just play extra moves to take the stones off the board. The demoralisation usually gets them to resign pretty quick.

Sometimes when I'm inflamed it's hard to concentrate and makes thinking a burden. Take out sugar, dairy, and most grains( especially gluten ) and nuts, and maybe a tbsp of nutritional yeast a day for some good b vitamins and see how you feel.

Congrats on focusing on health. You may want to cut back on your iced tea. Hopefully it does not have sugar in it (horrible for you) but even if it's sugar free, the caffeine can affect sleep quality.
