I have recently discovered your account. I am blown away at this life sized Nutcracker. He is absolutely stunning and so handsome. I admire the hard work and dedication to complete this DIY. His hat is so well made and absolutely beautiful. I love the buttons and chains so much. The pot used as the head was genius. The boots look amazing! Thank you! I actually just took him out today. My husband broke his hand off! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I’ll have to glue it back on! His nose also fell off so I’ll have to fix that but otherwise he looks great sitting up on my porch! I love him!

Thank you thank you. This is by far the easiest nutcracker tutorial I have seen. Definitely going to get stuff to make a couple tomorrow. The only thing I am going to do differently is maybe bigger round PVC for the legs. Just gotta figure out what I am going to use for the head and hat. I have several planting pots I was looking at earlier . I think I may have it figured out. What did you use for the hair?

I used black furry fabric that can be purchased at Michael’s. The bigger pvc pipe is more expensive. Buying it full length is actually cheaper than buying the smaller cut pieces. Using slick stick by dixie belle on glass and plastic before you paint will make your paint adhere to these surfaces.

@@MakeupMobster It's excellent paint. I've been redoing furniture for years and dixie belle is a beautiful finish. And seriously, slick stick makes paint stick to plastic like a charm. And it's not very expensive
