Have you thought about packaging the Aussie animals fabrics together as a gift set for tourists? I think I remember you saying one of the markets you do is in a touristy area. Gift sets like you did for Christmas.

Awesome haul. I’m a fabric collector too. It’s another craft 😂 Definitely some great choices for clothing. I’ve done the same with different fabrics to try that I normally wouldn’t at the regular price. Great for wearable toiles too.

That was a huge haul! Next time I'm back in Australia I'm going to have to hit the fabric stores..I always pass them up because I have so much at home already, but really..how much is too much? LOL

Happy sewing on your new adventure. Get a gathering foot. You should visit the shop where you bought your machine and see all the other specialized feet that are available for your industrial machine. Practice with easy projects like pillow covers and add ruffles to that. You can also make squares that show different sewing techniques and keep them in a folder or on a display board. One could be showing a ruffle, stitch in the ditch, binding, a basic external pocket, etc. If you plan to try shirring fabric, get another bobbin case for the elastic thread because the tension will need to be reduced for the elastic thread.

That sherbert reminds me of the napkins pattern my mom sewn when I was a child. We called the napkin SERBET. Probably the word came from this sherbert🤭

Those animal prints. Reminded me someone posted in one of the craft groups there is a cockatiel fabric at spot light. I must drool over from a far. Since i am American. I have a small cockatiel collection because i had one for about 30 years. It would have been such a nice addition. Pet it for me if you see it. As weird as that sounds. Lol

You are all so lucky in Australia and the USA! Whenever there is a sale here in the UK we can never use a coupon on top of this. It always says that it can not be used in conjunction with other discounts 🙁 Amazing bargain hunting 💜 bit jealous 🤣 love fabric shopping!

Hi Taylah I don't know why but when I saw the thumbnail of the video I thought that you were introducing a new product but it is a receipt. However I think you should make and sell the product I was thinking about. Have you seen those videos of people making hair curls with their robe belts and a hair clip? Well it is basically the fabric tube you make for the scrunchies but with some filler and a clip that you already have, so you can make them with silk fabric and a matching hair clip and sell the combo for making heatless curls

Great bargain on your fabric haul and yes I can definitely tell you're a hoarder of fabric but then when we love doing something, we want all the things and why not when it's on special. I hoard leather and beads because you just never know if a certain project comes up where you just need that particular colour or texture or thickness. I love the kits for making your own because I would like to try a few hand-sewn🐇🐇🐰 ones but no way do I need to go near a sewing machine because they hate me, I break needles and thread and I think my sewing machine in the shed had a mass of twirled thread from so many years ago hopefully some rodents carried it off 🐇

Is this the primary room or second room? I had a moment like that but with yarn. Two grocery carts full! Amazing how shoppers panic and hit the yarn and fabric haul here in Michigan when they witness these massive amounts of product. Way to go!

I was about to do my 1st Market but I think my close seam isn't good enough to sell at markets so I backed out 😔. Everything is is perfect. I can hide it when I make them with your OG method but no hidding burrito method (crooked). I think it's the machine. I got a $80 machine at Walmart which is cool for gifts or family but I think an upgrade is needed for Scrunchies I'm selling
@TaylahRose
@TaylahRose Жыл бұрын
You can do it! I’m sure it looks fine, sometimes we are our own harshest critic. Maybe try using the same colour thread it may make the seam less noticeable or a smaller stitch ☺️

Don’t start sewing dresses with checkered, plaid or striped fabrics. Use that stuff up in scrunchies. Really hard to match checks, plaids and stripes in a clothing pattern.
