Another one!! I met Thach back in 2010 during a summer youth leadership program in Seattle targeted at young asians - they way he talked about dreams and hard work was so moving (he keeps a THICK 3-4 inch binder full of all his dreams). He has been a role model of mine ever since.

Thanks for asking the question for me Bart! I meant for the mortgage. In Australia we have to put 15% down, but you're right Thach, best to have some reserve, luckily for us, we don't have to start paying the mortgage off till probably this time next year, so we have time to save up and hopefully build up that rainy day fund. This guy is a inspiration for me. Hes really got me into real estate and start investing in real estate. I'm actually about to become a real estate agent myself and build up my capital and becoming just like him owning rentals. He's vietnamese just like me, and it gives me hope that if there's a Vietnamese just like me out there that's a self made millionaire I believe I can do it too. I do understand all the struggles and poor that hes gone thru and wants to live a nice better life, and that's the same for me I want to live better too, in a nice house, drive nice car, and comfortable life who wouldn't want that. I wish know somebody like him or if not him himself personally to teach me the ropes and the ins and out. Thach you're a inspiration for all the Vietnamese out there man. I would love to cross paths with you one day when I become a real estate agent.

If you buy a rental property, it needs to be under an LLC, don't buy it under your personal name. Good luck!

@@mr.ribeye3334 Banks usually don't loan money to LLC's for real estate investment, an LLC is a Business, so you'll get a commercial loan with a higher interest rate, bigger down payment, and balloon payment. Talk to a banker. Fund the LLC first, money talk bullshit walk. Good luck!

I would do the LLC after the second rental, and there are always hard money lenders that may loan you at a better rate than the bank would.
