I'm in tears, you are the best Dr Jones. I felt your regret & sadness while watching this video. You weren't to blame, nor are you responsible for the teaching methods used during your training Your honesty & integrity speaks volumes on your character. You've done so much for so many animals & their humans throughout your career. I for one, don't know how we in our house would manage without you & your channel. Sending lots of love & massive respect from Scotland. 🐕 x

I had to take Anatomy and Physiology classes during Nursing School. We were forced to kill frogs and then dissect them. Except , Several of us refused to do it. The lab instructor kept insisting it was "just a frog". I argued that it was a living entity that deserved to be treated with respect. The lab instructor kept saying that he would fail all of those , who refused to kill the frog. We did not give in and failed that particular lab activity. Apparently, the Lab Instructor had never had students refuse to give in to his threats.

Good for you!! This type of work violates moral standards for many & you should have been allowed to skip this without failing. I would have taken it to the dean or even the president of the university. But that’s now water under the bridge.

👏👏👏OUTSTANDING!!! I applaud your moral character 👏 ALL creatures, big or small have a purpose! Truly sad ya'll failed that class because of your professor being such a twat and not a decent human being. BUT....YOUR compassion reveals what a PRECIOUS person YOU ARE 💖 My teenage boys and I won't even kill a cockroach in our home. We capture it and release it outside as well as lizards and spiders too. We live in a rural area and they can't help that they just wondered in. Lol , but I've taught my kids.... LIFE IS PRECIOUS!!

I managed to avoid taking biology in high school because of the dissecting of frogs. I knew I didn't want to do that. I managed to get a different science class to satisfy the science requirement for graduation. During my life I have learned a lot about biology which didn't involve dissecting frogs. I refuse to use those glue mouse traps either, because I think they are cruel. A friend said "but it's just a mouse." I agree with you.

Bless your heart for speaking up in this video! I graduated with a zoology degree and felt the same way about many of the labs we had. I had a psychology lab which used rats for operant conditioning. Many of the students did the shock experiments. My lab partner and I did not. Because of the poor treatment most of the rats could not be easily handled by the end of the class. My lab partner kept our lab rat and she went on to live quite the life. But much of the treatment of animals in the idea of "learning" is so very wrong and completely unnecessary!

I agree, but at least it was truthful and the Vets today do it for money, not because they care about your pet at all. They stuff up, bad luck. Hate them like GPs. I will never get another pet after the one I have, it's a con and lie. They don't need jabs, all the time, people had dogs for years and didn't need all the crap.

Not his truth. It’s the truth. Truth by nature is reality !!!! Not his interpretation . It’s good to know Jesus because He claimed to be “the truth the way and the life no man comes to the Father except by Me” John 14:6 kjv We will have to give an account of our actions and it feels so good to be forgiven and ready to stand before God with a clear conscience :) I’m ready for when He decides to take me ! Turn to Jesus for forgiveness of sins and for the free gift of eternal life ❤.

This is true elsewhere. My BIL had the syringe drawn and was about to s****de when he rang my sister distraught. He needed a safe place and her permission to walk away from Vet. He did a 12 month bridging course and became a secondary science and maths teacher. It was never his first love (marine biology was, talked out of it by a careers counsellor), but teaching allowed him to live, and continue to be a father and husband. Thinking of all Vets out there facing days of euthanising healthy or fixable patients, and whose depression and low income often seems overwhelming. 🐾

Veterinary school was different for my dad in the early 1960s. He was a compassionate caretaker of animals - even the squirrel pups that neighborhood kids brought to our back door. When the profession transitioned to the human medicine business model, my dad left private practice. He became an epidemiologist at the USDA and a lecturer at Cornell. He was surgeon on the team that did the first successful kidney transplant in a dog, helping to set the surgical standard for kidney transplants in humans.

Since waking up from the deep deep mind control, I have learned so much about health that I can’t bring myself to have my animals see another vet unless they are willing to treat my pets how I think they should be treated. I’ve already had convo’s with my vet. I said no more vaccinations for my animals! They do not need them after first initial shots. He was ok with it. I changed food I feed my animals. Dr. Jones, YOU are a stellar example of the BEST humanity can aspire to be. I thank YOU for your wisdom, knowledge, objective judgment, care, empathy, kindness and willingness to expose both what you think is right and what you think is wrong. In my "senior" perspective, we've progressed to living in a sad, superficial, selfish and money-centrist world where the end goal is achieved only by discarding all morals and values for as much material comfort as possible. I discovered in my "professional-job" ( that really should read : "professional-joke") that a shocking number of individuals are corrupt. In fact, I was shocked , and depressed, knowing that so many "colleagues" lied, covered up, BS'd for reasons such as incompetency, not caring , being entitled and politically connected so invincible from scrutiny - the reasons are endless. And here you are - honest and open. What a terrible shame that a sensitive and empathetic person - YOU - compelled to share realities of a "reality" which most people would rather NOT FACE. Dr. Jones, thank you for your bravery, courage and UNIQUENESS in being a GOOD human being. We, at this time and in these times, are very fortunate to have the honour of listening to your videos ❤💔❤

Can't thank you enough for teaching and encouraging me to learn how to clean mites out of my 2 cats ears. I know for a fact they're happier, more comfortable and healthier. When I see them itching around their ears, its time for a cleaning. I'm also using colloidal silver in their eyes when I see eye discharge or the whites of their eyes are pink. Lastly, I can't afford expensive food so I add a small amount of melted coconut oil and some nutritional yeast to their dry cat food. They're both 10 years old and doing great. Thank you for keeping me out of the vets office and extending the quality of their lives.

The main thing is that it's never too late to do what is right. Yes at one time it was love of the animal. Today all about the money, a good percentage of them anyway. I worked for a so call Vet/ want to be specialist. He was/ is a narcissistic person. Never reported him, but do give word of mouth. He was/is well known in these areas. Also goes abroad to teach, yet not a specialist, just specializes in a certain field. Does good work, can't reveal how he got to be so good. Heard from other surgical staff that he is being watch by the board. There are still some good Veterinarians out there. Very few in between. Keep up the excellent work Doc. Blessings

That's why I don't take my dog to the vet anymore. They would tell us all the shots we were to give our dog, but first they would come out with the long list. The only thing I seen were all the $$$$$$ It would scare me. 😳 On Dr. Becker's you-tube page she said before getting your any shots to get a Titer Test done. So when it was time for him to get the booster shot I had the Titer Test done, 2 weeks later the veterinarian called me up and told me he didn't need the booster shot. That meant my dog had too much metals in his system. That only costed me $25. When the Rabies vaccine came up I told him I wanted a Titer Test he said that would be $250 I started to cry. I couldn't afford that at that time and since it is the law in NYS he had to get the vaccine. I was so mad... I won't go to the veterinarian's office until July this time I will save up the money for the Titer Test. I don't want my dog injected with toxic metals. 🤬 Before I left his office he had the nerve to tell me my dog was made wrong. He said his hind legs go straight down when he stands his hips are supposed to be rounded. Let me tell you at that point I was furious. I don't care how or what my dog looked like I love him and he loves me, he's my best friend when ever I am down he cheers me up. I was shocked 😳 and very upset. I have been researching holistic veterinarians, but for some reason the government doesn't want holistic doctors so Dr. Jones please be very careful. Too many doctor's are being silenced for giving great advice. I have found out doctor's can't make money on healthy people or animals. I just bought some of your supplements. Thank you for giving healthy ways to heal our pets. You're an angel. Thank you... 😊

*P.S*. When I was about 20 I worked at a vets office as a cage cleaner, food & water giver, general gopher. Something haunts me from that time. I witnessed the unscrupulous vet who I worked for euthanize two perfectly heathy 1 yr. old Weimaraner puppies because their owner didn't want them...broke my heart. Before it happened I had begged the vet if my parents could please take the dogs instead of euthanizing them, & the Dr. said "no it's what the owner wants"....

There are a lot of Holistic Vets in the USA. Is there a equivalent in Canada? I own a grooming salon, I send my clients to your channel all of the time! Thanks for everything

All my life I wanted to be a vet. When I got into college and took anatomy and physiology, we were told we had to pith the brain of a live frog, and then experiment on it see how it’s nerves and muscles would perform while he was still alive, but now paralyzed. Every person in the room was squealing and laughing, and I was shocked at the horror. Previously to this laboratory experiment I went to my teacher and told him I didn’t think I could do this. And he told me I would get an F if I didn’t. I could not stand to have the other people at my table torturing the frog, so I actually did the pithing. Disgusted with myself, but did not know what else to do. I was told that later on in the class we would have to get a cat from animal control, and use it as our cadaver for experimentation. That’s when I dropped out of the class. I was told if you can’t do these things you’ll never make it through veterinary school because this is just the tip of the iceberg. And he was right. That was over 45 years ago. I never made it through veterinary school. I wouldn’t even dream of becoming a vet if it meant I had to torture animals to do so. So I understand completely what you’re saying. Senseless death for no reason. Anybody could explain those particular side effects without having to demonstrate the actual death. I later became a nurse. Which was not what I wanted to do with my life. Always felt like I copped out somehow, but just couldn’t bring myself to go through veterinary school, if that’s what it took to become a vet.

Don’t be too hard on yourself, you were much younger then. We all have regrets about things we should have stood up for back then, but we were probably intimidated. It’s sad how both animals and humans were treated. I often think about little children who were institutionalized for having deformities or Down’s syndrome. 😩

Amen to that Andrew.....the experience, although painful (for all involved) and led you to be able to speak out and become the man you are today. יוי

I think you are a good person and a good doctor as well…many of us have regrets similar to yours, we did not say anything in questionable situations . I remember some of these and I do not understand why I didn’t’ react. Today I’m pretty sure my reaction would not be the same…

A lot of us have similar regrets. In that situation, you had no power or ability or mechanism to save those dogs. Those dogs were going to be destroyed with or without you. Saying something would not have helped the dogs and could’ve kept you from being who you are today.

Thank you for your honesty. Yes, you should have said something. I wonder what I would have done? I am known to be outspoken, especially for animals, but at that age, I'm not so sure I would have had the courage. Did the teachers in that "live lab" have an empathy-ectomy?! Can't believe that there are people like that, but there are many people like that....Even though they are suppose to be saving and helping animals, a few young dogs are okay to kill?! So, lots of dogs were killed for many student's learning "opportunities". Human's history with animal's lives has been mostly awful. We love some animals, and then others we watch unconsciously be abused, killed, consumed, worn, .etc. All animals, even the chickens in the battery cages, are unique, have something to bring to this world, and their lives matter. We all need to sit down and have a very big conversation about how self absorbed humans are about their lives, and how we can be so convinced that we are the most important species with so much intellect, the superior species!....BUT! we have so much to learn in general about emotional intelligence and love of others....Thank god for all the animals wild, domesticated, and pets.....without them, I would not want to be on this planet. Cheers to all the other species and may they be truly seen, more and more everyday, as the most precious and magical on this Earth! 💟💟💟💟💟💟

Being forced to dissect many animals, including cats, in order to become a nurse was nightmarish. Even worse was we had to pay to do something horrific that had no educational benefit. It's a money-making thing for people with no empathy for animals.
