Our fish room has taken a long time to get to where it's at today, and it hasn't always been smooth sailing. Let's talk about three of my biggest regrets in the fish room and how you can avoid making similar mistakes.

Evan, I'm so glad you brought up that magnetic cleaner. I absolutely love having mine for my new tank, BUT I worry that I'll get something in between it and the glass and scratch it. If anyone has one, they should check it before every use, just to be safe.

Thanks Lisa! Yea they're great tools, as long as you don't do the one thing you're not supposed to do with them, which I did. 🙃

Yea I quit using the magnetic cleaners as I put 2 scratches in my 180 gallon custom Aquarium I was pissed now I just get annoyed every time I see it. I now just use a magic sponge by hand to clean all my tanks. That said your fish room is outstanding I just love it.

Thanks! And yea there's definitely a downside to those magnetic cleaners.

Do you think you’ll ever do a how to build video? I’d love to see you and hear your tips on building aquariums, picking out glass, how much to expect to spend etc
@Riffwaters4 ай бұрын
I want to! But it might be a while before I have the chance to build another tank. Though I may be able to cover some of those topics on their own.

@@Riffwaters ya even if your don’t build a new one if would be really cool to hear your thoughts about the different kinds of DIY tanks, pros and cons, regrets and successes, future plans, tips and hacks, expectations of cost and time, resources for tools, materials, how to info etc. you could even show off the tanks you already have as you talk about it all. It’s not in my near future, but eventually I’d love to get an 8 or 9’ tank as a sort of room divider. I’d really love to get some SW angels, butterfly fish maybe a trigger and puffer.

The green tint isn’t that bad bro, try putting more color in the tank to trick ur mind away from the green. The scratches on the inside are one of the things I notice on a tank right away as I use one of those magnet scrubbers with sand in one tank and blasting sand in two others. Used tanks are a gamble, just cause the tank didn’t leak for the seller doesn’t mean it won’t leak for the buyer, and modified or cracked bracing is a huge red flag.

Thanks! I'm glad the green doesn't appear that bad. And yea, I should've known better with the bracing on the used tank! Lol.

I'm sure you will find the inspiration from the many incredible creations you built , and the best way to get over regrets is letting go of the guilt. Sadly everyone makes all kinds of mistakes , and the type of person that has created everything you have, the majority of people couldn't manage just caring for one of those Monsters!!! Most impressive what you have , and I hope you're awesome fish cave has many serendipitous moments that will make a future full of outcomes beyond belief... So you just gotta say Adios to anything you regret ~ Nothing more than a positive energy thief !!! Always capable of much worse like far to many in existence today , not really living cause of the results that didn't go their way . So don't let past or future mistakes become regrets that manifest into a Curse , and the only way to get rid of that is a whole lotta of Copper, and then those scratchy green panes of glass turns out weren't so bad after all. The End 🤵👰

So how do you clean your glass now if you don’t use the scraper?

Great day! Are there any colorful female African cichlids? Please let me know which ones are out there?
@Riffwaters4 ай бұрын
Great question! The females of most Mbuna are just as colorful as the males. If you want something bigger, then some great Hap options are Blue Dolphins, 3 Spot Torpedoes, and Yellow Lepturas.

What type of filtration are you running on the 600 gallons?
@RiffwatersАй бұрын
@@flypapercustomzz-customsne2435 Two FX6 canister filters. They do the trick, but a sump would be better.
