This is just one of the many psychology lessons of trading. The only thing that could get me over this struggle is time and disciple, Accepting losses. Since you’re full time I’d recommend getting a part time job just to get you from behind your computer and not thinking about trading constantly. Closing trades prematurely like you mention is a sign of FOMO (fear of missing out) I know professional traders that still work jobs. Congrats Lisa

Yeah, I personally feel that trades shouldn't be closed prematurely. You have a strategy with a set TP and SL. Need to accept there will be losses and commit to trades and don't hesitate. If you interfere with trades and close them early, it's not really any longer the strategy you back tested as now there was a change. Going forward will be a bit more inconsistent when trying to tell if your current strategies are working or not and what their average win rate and monthly profit is if you keep interfering. Just my opinion anyway. I don't think I have ever closed out a trade of mine early. Win or Lose I let the trade play out and know what my strategies win rate is etc.

If you're doing it right trading should be boring. Annie Duke my buddy read her book she is a poker player. Traders and professional gamblers again, when doing it right it should be a grind. Percentages and probabilities but you already know that.

Closing trades and watching for the outcome is something I also do and it's not a very good thing. If it works out, say you closed in the best place possible, you learn that the "wrong" behavior was good and you are basing that thought on 1 trade among thousands..... This is one of my hardest things to do, leave the EAs to do what they do.

Why not use a good signal group instead, where you have real traders analyzing the trades before placing them? It doesn't matter what kind of EA you use, because they behave the way they are programmed to behave. Or even better learn how to trade rather than spend thousands of hours with EA's just to earn some money!

Thanks, but I'm not interested in signal groups, or manual trading. Algorithmic trading suits my personality better.
