This method of removing the battery carries a significant risk. Shouldn't you be applying WD-40, and wait for a few minutes before the glue comes off.

Because they don’t want people fixing their products and instead wants you to buy a new one. This is how Apple continues to make a fortune. I have a 10 year old laptop that’s still fine, if it was Apple it would need to be replaced every 3 years and not because the computer is bad, but the battery.
