Wonderful. 1976. I was told I'd get nothing much for Christmas as my mum and dad had just bought a house and money was tight. I was fine about that. Just excited to be moving into a new house. I was blown away Christmas morning. I got the Tardis, Dr Who, Steve Austin, Muton and Android for Christmas that year. That was the best Christmas ever. Denys Fisher and Palitoy were my childhood. This made me very emotional. I have been so lucky. My mum and dad. Just the best people. I was a lucky six year old. Trying to create the same magic for my two wee lads. Thanks for this. Lovely memories. P.s there was a strip of velcro to hold Doctor in place but it ripped immediately the first time you tried to pull him out.

The one that got away. They haunt us all. I still regret not buying the massive Sagat sota toys made and had proper fabric shorts on. £35 loose but I was unemployed at the time, but I still regret not buying it.

The Tardis did originally have black Velcro. You had to ease the doctor out gently to prevent the Velcro pulling off

I had the TARDIS back in the day. It got torn to shreds, sadly. I did get a mit looking 4th Doctor, minus his box and sionic, but he looked brand nw, and he still stands and his joints are still solid. My friend got it for me fore around 30 quid.

Believe it or not a bit of actual hair gel with a dab of lotion to keep it from drying out works really well I came up with this because I once made a custom Meryl Streep figure

Great video - thanks for sharing. Not sure, if I should say this, as don't want to offend you, but looking at that Denys Fisher Cyberman the suit to me looks like it might be a reproduction. I have an original Deny's cyberman I have owned from new and on mine the cotton tying the suit to the pipes is grey (could be the light, but yours looks to be cream). The fabric close up on mine also looks different, it has very uniformly square blocks on yours and on the original it is squarish, but slightly more weave like as each square is not as uniformly square. On mine the fabric is also not as shiny and looks to be a slightly lighter / not as raised type of material. I believe the reason there a very few if any examples with perfect suits is due to the lack of durability of the original material, which tends to degrade very easily. As I am sure you are aware, ones in even moderately good condition are hard to come across, so for this to still be an original in this condition when it didn't come with a box, seems unlikely, although possible. Finally the stitch line of the arms pieces to the main suit looks different to me. The stitching should be a straight line going diagonally up from under the arm underneath the helmet on both sides (the right hand side here appear to join with the top corner of the pipe. I could be wrong and it still looks great, so please consider my intentions to be good. Happy to send you a photo if you wan to see details of mine.

Mate knocked this one out of the park and as you said a couple of weeks ago you said you might have something drwho related, I loved this episode for the nostalgia and seeing these awesome retro doctor who figures and Tardis. I had a similar story last weekend I was at a toy fair and there was a guy selling heaps of vintage TMNT and he had a buzz off and needlenose for $250 each he couldn’t go lower on price and I had to stick to a budged so I left it, a week later he put all the items up on Facebook claim and I ended up getting the buzz off figure for $120 😎so as you say sometimes if you really want something you just wait and sometimes the universe drops ot for you, again man dope video loved the episode 😎👍🏻

I've never watched Doctor Who. Where should I start? I have heard not all episodes exist anymore.
@slimehousetv2 жыл бұрын
Such a hard question cause there is so many! My original introduction was DR Who and the daleks the movie, but they are not even cannon, maybe start with Tom Bakers run, that's what got more people into the show than ever before, and features some of the most iconic moments in the shows history 👊

I had soooo many SF toys that would be collectible now when I was a kid. Who, Star Trek, Gerry Anderson, Blakes 7. They all got severely played with. ie bashed with a hammer, set on fire and just basically destroyed. I'm trying to think of a nice way of saying....I don't care.
