Steve you are such a genuine and humble person. I love your annual serious talk sessions, especially when you add some guitar. We all regret things that we have done, and although it would be nice to go back and maybe do things differenty, in reality we know that can't happen, so we learn from it and move on to the next undertaking. You are right when you say that history cannot not be erased. We embrace it and make it better. Steve don't forget that when you do a video it takes time cause you do everything yourself, and that my boy is a load ton of work. Dad and I love you unconditionally and are very proud of you and we know your followers feel the same.

People would want that sound live. So capturing it would be incredibly difficult. That’s what The Beach Boys did with Brian Wilson one of the most iconic albums ever Pet Sounds sold off the shelf like crazy, but when it came to the album being live it wasn’t the same. Studios are about dead, with all the technology there is today Steve could literally play a guitar part send it in and they could cut and paste directly into the song. Kinda like adding in drum samples. I would say if this was the early 90s sure but not in the present day.

Steve I am a 54 year old army vet with ptsd, severe social anxiety, depression disorder. I have days I can’t leave my bedroom, let alone the house. I couldn’t do what you do for anything. Even thinking about getting in front of the camera terrifies me. You’ve got such a unique gift. Your personality, guitar playing, sense of humor are outstanding. I’m thinking of doing my life long dream because of you. Always wanted to learn blues, blues rock guitar. Weirdly I’m a 80s metal head but blues touches my tortured soul. The amount of courage you just showed is amazing, everyone has regrets, damn few of us open our souls to share them. All of us here support you, just be you that’s all we need. Who knows what’s around the corner, whatever it is you’ll be stronger and more prepared to meet it. God bless my friend.

Hi, I stumbled on this searching for Richard Benson. I probably left a big comment on that older video of yours too. He passed away last year, sadly. As a big fan of his, I appreciate your expression of regret; I wish you and other people from around the world could know how big and meaningful of an underground phenomenon he was in Italy (and Rome in particular) in his time for metal fans. He had a show and would promote so many bands on TV. Academia was eating me alive and I felt miserable, so in the end I chose the third option, even though research was my dream job for a long time. Then I heard about your decision and actually felt much better about mine. You put your mental health first and that’s not a common thing to do, specially in highly competitive environments. Hey Steve been a fan for a while and love you stuff. The what-ifs get everyone, but your channel is where it's at in a major part because of your personality. You make your channel unique rather than just convenient entertainment. Sort of contrast to this one.

Right now you're very reachable. You're like a friend I get to talk to once a week lol. Videos I have liked in the past are, top 10's, misheard lyrics, any and all guitar videos, fails and as much as I hate to admit it, guifakery videos. Oh and guitar challenges. I still watch the one where you played until you broke a string. Maybe answer dumb guitar questions. As a guitar noob I have plenty I'm afraid to ask. Hi Steve, your true genuine self shows through so much in this video. But I feel like it shows up in all your other videos as well, with bits of fun/craziness thrown in. I see you and feel you so much on the Dragonforce thing. My poor sweet 6 year old daughter is struggling big time with anxiety right now, and she is having such a hard time getting into activities that she normally loves to do. It’s so heartbreaking to see her struggle, heart racing, almost panicking about having to do something she’s anxious about. And then she bails, while all the other kids are going for it. So I imagine getting out there on a huge stage would be one of those things, if you’re not in the right headspace, ya just can’t do it, just like she’s currently finding it impossible to go get out on the soccer field and play. If it helps at all, I totally get why you made the decision you did, in that moment. And to answer your question, I love your “how to be” series, and also I totally dig the major to minor songs! And the mash ups last week were brilliant, I’d love to see more of those. Keep on truckin’, love you a ton!

Thanks for saying that Harumi! You are 100% right though. I never even thought about that. I made a list of regrets. But not a list of non-regrets. Haha! It really puts things into perspective when you put it like that!

Well, Stevie, I'll be honest, I too have had regrets in my life. I even blame myself for the things I've done everyday. But at the same time, I try to not really think about them. Also, I've been your fan since February or March, your videos have always made me laugh and put a smile on my face, especially with the funny things you always do and say. 🤣 Also, you always make my days 100% better with your sense of humor. :) But, as for what video I want you to do? Well, I dunno if you're bored or sick of these types of videos, but I really enjoy your "How To Be Band/Artist" videos. Especially since "How To Be The Ramones" was the video that made me discover your channel in the first place. Anyway, I really hope at some point, you decide to make another video like that, because they're just way too good. 😄

""Richard benson sucks was an expression of a lot of people. Stevie T expressed how he truely sees him at the end. I thought it was an honest review with a little bit of dark humor. that is all.

@@tomothybahamothy ill or not, in good taste or not, good or bad timing : All of this is irrelevent : a joke is a joke. Plus, he was not mocking his health, just poking fun his guitar playing style. No reason to be so touchy.

I hope you know that you just being yourself and talking to us is enough for "content". Coming up with ideas must be insane but here are some ideas. Idea 1: Battle Davie504, I'll campaign to see this happen. You guys should be a team, of sorts, like nemesis that work together for the greater good. You both can play each other's instruments but "hate" them. It's content gold for both of you imho. Idea 2: ask some of us to help as mods and do a live stream reaction vid. To say, "the best metal bands you never heard of" or "pop music that doesn't suck", an oxymoron but whatever. Idea 3: rate YOUR top 10 most underrated guitarists. Idea 4: start an ongoing series (so it's an extra vid a week with less editing needed) where you do a cover song but one we vote for? Idea 5: find out who killed Tupac... Nothing but love for you Stevie. Just make anything and we will watch. 3 million will come and pass then it'll be 5 million. You just have to keep pushing. The idea is not how many subs you have its how.many people there still are that haven't seen a Stevie T vid we all know and love. That's who is missing out. Just be yourself and do your best. Big love and respect from Australia. ✌️

I don't quite agree with idea 1, davie basically slowly selling out since he start his first talking he play more and more meme songs instead of real music he used to make.

Having regrets is normal. The life evolve and it may change the points of views. Maybe today you are thinking: "what the hell I did?", but at the time it was the thing to do. Keep doing what you are doing cause you offer us funny moments. The opportunities will happen.

I like how you get a lot more personality into your videos as you've gotten older. Don't get me wrong, I love how goofy you get, but I love these videos where you kinda reflect on your page and career in a more serious manner.

I don't think anyone can honestly say they haven't done anything they regret! I've got a long list myself, and most of mine were opportunities I passed up. You are right though...you can't erase history and it's better to just acknowledge that it happened and move on. Personally, I love your content and just in the length of time I've been watching you, I've always taken everything in the context I believe you delivered it...Light and jokingly! I don't have any suggestions for content, but know that I love everything you do and it's extra special when one of those awesome guitars makes an appearance!! 🥰

Very true Andrea. Guess we've all passed up opportunities that we later regretted. I have a tendency to focus more on the regrets. But I believe it does make you stronger. If it's more guitar you want... Then that's what you're gonna get!! 😃
