My Bizarre First Day in Costa Rica!🇨🇷

I had just entered Costa Rica (from the Nicaraguan border) and as always had no idea where to go since I had done no pre-research on Costa Rica. Someone told me I could go to a place called "Playa Hermosa" (Beautiful Beach).
I had to change 2 buses and it took me several hours to get there.
Once I finally arrived at Playa Hermosa, I was ready to quickly find a cheap hostel so I could then check out this famous beach.
However, the reality was very different and I did not expect to face such a bizarre situation on my first day in one of the most touristic countries in Central America!

Hello Tim! sorry about ur initial experience but Costa Rica is a wonderful place with amazing ppl. A friend and I went last yr and had an amazing time in Costa Rica. Met a lot of wonderful travelers when we drove around that amazing country for 12 days. Best non-touristy place was on the Caribbean side in Puerto Viejo. Walking around the town, the black beaches were amazing & the mix of black & brown natives with their culture was just wonderful as an African! Pura Vida!

Here in Austria, you won't find anything that only costs 25 dollars. Except maybe camping. Right on the lake, no chance! You are right there in paradise, by the sea with a beautiful beach. The room is ok if it is cleaned and you have your own pool included. you don't pay for the room where you sleep, you pay for the environment, and there is no trash on the beach, which means someone cleans up the garbage. I think the price is ok.

Hola Tim! Costa Rica was my first country I traveled too and it holds a special place in my heart. I recommend a town north on the pacific. It’s name is Quepos and it’s a lot of fun and very nice. Also it is next to Manuel Antonio jungle. Only problem with Costa Rica, it’s becoming too experience because of tourism from the United States. Wherever gringos go the price skyrockets.

He should head more south towards the Osa Peninsula and hang out around Puerto Jiménez or head to the remote towns in the mountains. Ecuador content would be sweet, head towards the town named Coca, much content to discover.

I live in Costa Rica and this isn't normally what people go through here. Also it's always expensive at the Beach communities. All depends on the location you are in CR. I love my life here.

I don’t think Tim understood the lady. it was the same thing a room with 2 beds. Keep in mind, if you travel with a friend the price is $12.50 per person per night. Almost all hotels/motels/hostels have rooms with 2 beds
