Hello, I think you have a good modern films collection, but you need to explore several classic films from the 60´s-70´s-80´s-90´s. I recommended for you my favourite film APOCALYPSE NOW (1979); BULLIT (1968), EASY RIDER (1974), TAXI DRIVER (1976), QUADROPHENIA (1979).....from Master and Commander´s director Peter Weir you can check GALLIPOLI (1981), WITNESS (1985), THE MOSQUITO COAST (1986), DEAD POETS SOCIETY (1989), THE TRUMAN SHOW (1998), this australian director is one of my favourite filmakers. From 21st Century films I think you probably like the swedish film LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (2007), my favourite film in the last 15 years, MUD (2012), THE WAY WAY BACK (2013).... I have a collection about 1500 films on DVD and Bluray and probably have about 300 you also have, because I don´t have a huge collection of modern films. Curiosity, I am from Spain and you have 2 spanish films (but fimed in english) PAN´S LABYRINTH (Guillermo del Toro- coproduction mexican-spanish) and THE IMPOSSIBLE (Juan A Bayona). You also can check the spanish film THE OTHERS, filmed in english and the main character is played by Nicole Kidman. Thanks for sharing your collection and Greetings from Canary Islands.

Agreed but there's also many great classic movies from the 20s 30s 40s and 50s too! And once you get into these films it becomes an obsession. Of course that's true for all decades as well

Fun collection. Try purging the stuff you don’t like and focus in on purchasing movies you actually dig (will save you money too!) Also, Bottle Rocket is Wes Anderson’s first film, not Rushmore (that’s his second). Have a good one.

Hey man, seeing as you're an avid collector id like to ask a question. If I was to ship a us Blu-ray player over here, would I be able to play my UK discs?

Aidan Jolly some of them, check on the back for a 1. An ABC logo which means you can on a US Player and 2. If it has a tiny globe with a 2 in the middle which means you can’t play it on a US player Hope this was helpful!

Aidan Jolly that means that they are region free and *can* be played on all Blu Ray players from any continent or any country. But if you are thinking of buying a US player, always check your blu rays. Thanks for replying and happy watching!
